ME ME ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (trust my luck I'll be 8 months pregnant by then LMFAO  ) I think I will do my come back toParis too!!! haven't stepped there since I moved here!!! I think I'll divide my vacations btw US OPEN AND PARIS!!! yay!!!! ;D |

M nt exactly a new member but have been dormant for really long ( Mish! was my last login and i lost the details of it )
Alrite , i have ritten umpteen number of mails asking for some kind of schedule to safin community moderator and i have got no reply.
I live in India and i have to watch him play once...Ne ideas what tournaments he would play? I need to start warming my wallet and bank acct fr that!! SOS

I guess it hasn't been announced here, so I'll let you know that Marat's Official Website has been closed down for good. However, for those of you who used to go there, the OS forum remains intact and can be accessed directly under maratsafin.freeforums.org/portal.phpThanks for the info, Annette! As Marat has very little points to defend from now until Wimbledon (Munich doesn't count much as included in the total of smaller tournaments) - his ranking should stay in the 20's which means he will have automatic entry to the ATP 1000 tournaments (ex Masters series) and the Slams. Although he has gone out in the 3rd round at Indian Wells - he actually improved from 2008 where he went out in the 1st round!
So on the above basis Marat's schedule from now until Wimbledon is as follows:-
Mar 23 Sony Ericsson Open Miami
Apr 13 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters Monte Carlo
Apr 27 Internazional BNL d'Italia Rome
May 11 Mutua Madrilena Masters Madrid
Friday 22 May Exhibition at the Paris Country Club
May 25 Roland Garros
June 8 Queens London
June 22 Wimbledon
He may play one of the exhibitions in London immediately before Wimbledon depending on how long he lasts at Queens. Details will be advised later.
Trust this will help fans plan their times to see Marat play in his last year.

Nope. I'll be in Liverpool the week before London ... Not the posh Hurly Burly Club, or whatever it's called. LMAO. Typical. Got my Livvie tickets last week - will go Wed and Thurs, then head back to Glasgow. Pack my suitcase and head to London for my sacred ground on Saturday. Then I spend a week queueing ... And queueing ... And queueing. For the enjoyable experience obviously.
Think I fell out of the bed the wrong side this morning.

Marat is going to play an exhibition in RG counting for the Masters Guinot Mary Cohr and will be held at Rueil-Malmaison, here's the schedule:
Thursday 21st May: start: 1:30pm
Roger Federer VS Stanislas Wawrinka
Rafael Nadal VS Arnaud Clément
Friday 22nd May; start: 1:30pm
David Nalbandian VS Tommy Haas
Marat Safin VS James Blake ;D

Marat is going to play in the Catella Swedish Open starting 7/11/09. Don't know if we need a whole new thread but at least he will be back in action before the hard court summer starts!  |
