Awwwww diddums, a wee tear of sheer delight dripped slowly from my weary eye at the news tonight. The only joy I have had in a week of untold, and unmitigating, misery ... right Big Yin, no more faffin' around. Get Christmas Day out of the way (hold back on the pudding) and start training like you've never trained before. This is bootcamp year ... FG style.  Your coaches have been too kind on you. I'm a hardened Scot from the East End of Glasgow, I expect that this year we blow them off the court ... get crackin'. And put the blonde back in the box for 12 months ... I'm getting serious. I've indulged you enough. One more year, and you're gonna really focus, a la Wimbles. You did it for me then, and you're gonna apply that same focus ... but for the next 12 months, not a fortnight. I'm getting my wings girls. ;D Bless you my Big Pixie.  Maybe you're actually MY angel ... I knew you wouldn't let us down. You won't regret the decision. ;D Go out on a high, not self-doubt. Since he'll celebrate Christmas on January 7th it won't be in his way.  And preparation has already started, he's busy training with Miguel as we speak. ;D No idea about bootcamp-style, though. From the OS:
29 January - Marat News - Marat celebrated his 29th birthday on 27 January in Miami where he went after his exit from the Australian Open. He is continuing practicing and we will advise details of his next tournaments as soon as available. With his current ranking of 27 he is automatically entered into both Indian Wells 1000 and Miami 1000 - both pf which he will play. Thank you for all your birthday messages for Marat - they were much appreciated.
We apologise for lack of information and no birthday message for Marat on 27 January - this was due to technical problems with the site.
At this stage there are no upcoming tournaments booked for Marat apart from Davis Cup in Romania from 6-8 March.

So Marat is (or was) in Miami.. Dinara mentioned in her interview last night that he would be in Moscow during her final..  I wish he would have stayed to support her - and when I was watching Dinara's match the commentators said the same thing! (ha ha) |
