Well I don't think they act, I think they react as strong as possible... But it's my point of view and it's may be wrong

doing something you must be kidding I'm not saying they are doing the right things...  I just think that the previous gouvernments didn't care about the suburbs...they just wanted to see them (people who are living there) "off "the town...and they are trying to integrate those people in the society, now! But isn't too late? I don't think mentalyties will change soon... But that's my opnion...maybe not yours.. |

I don't think that this governement is trying to integrate those people,whereas I think that he wants to create a mouvement against them based on fear and xenophobia. But fortunately not all the politics act this way, someof them are trying to 'take it easy'.

Ok, ok girls..... I understand it`s something painfull and we can all have different opinions about it.... I just hope we keep things calmed and respectful (not that you were not till now..., just preventing, you know... ) BTW, Elisabeth, nothing justifies racism, not even what`s happening these days in France...  The only thing I can say (because I don´t know exactly how things are) is that not good things come out when a important percentage of the population suffer any kind of inequality based on race, ethnicity, religion, social class, age, gender, etc.... And I`m not talking only about what happends now in France, I`m talking about my country too... And I don´t know how French goverment is dealing with this... (I only heard some words from ¿Sarkozy?, that, personally, I found a little scary..., but that`s my personal opinion...), I only know that any goverment should and MUST respect human rights. I only wish peace and dignity in their lives to all the people living in French territory |

BTW, Elisabeth, nothing justifies racism, not even what`s happening these days in France... I was relating the 2002 President election....(with Le Pen in the 2sd round)  So, I wasn't justifying racism....it was just a fact. |
