Saw today that the Iraqi soccer team won their first match. COnsidering what the team went through when Uday Hussein was in charge that brought a big smile to my face. Yeah, good stuff

LOL! A water fight is pretty normal in a summer camp of any kind, a way to cool off and burn some energy and high spirits, harmless fun. Condoms have always made terrific water bombs. Damita is right, they do not have to stay in the village, but most athletes do and it's expected that they do to foster team spirit and support each other. Saw today that the Iraqi soccer team won their first match. COnsidering what the team went through when Uday Hussein was in charge that brought a big smile to my face. the iraqi had a great run in the recently concluded asian cup...did a great job. can't remember where they got beaten (prob the quarters) but they made the last 16.

I don't know which is funnier, the article or the smiley beating the crap out of the other smiley. Still LMAO I'm printing out that article and give to my coach. ;D Than I'm going out on the town. Aww that won't work traffic is backed up for miles with ppl trying to get out of the Florida Keys before Hurricane Charley hits this afternoon, also on course to Tampa where I am. Oh well I think I'll stroll over to the beach and watch those huge waves roll in. Yes I'm that stupid to go out in a hurricane. I can't stop laughing so I have to find something to do. BTW I'm also very happy for the Iraqi team, very happy.

Paradorn will carry the flag for his country!! so cool Chris>> the tv today said there were 10 500 athletes in Athens and not 17 000.... you know what this means, right? We made a mistake in our calculation. The number isn't 7.6 but 13!!!!! ;D ;D ;D btw, Andy Roddick seems to love the 'atmosphere' in the village.... quote from tennis-X: Andy Roddick on being in the Olympic Village: "It's cool, it's a different experience for me. We're extremely spoilt normally. You do feel kind of like a student. You're in a room together, you're sharing bathrooms, it's fun. It's a good change. It's all part of the whole Olympic experience." ;D

Well they won't let me on the beach so looks like you guys are stuck with me today. I have no idea what to do with a day off, to hyperactive to just sit in this room. Does anyone know who will be carrying to flag for the US? I hope it's Michael Phelps the swimmer, he is from my adopted state of Maryland, also have a great gymnast from Maryland last name Kupets. I hope they both do well, Phelps is trying to break the medal record of Mark Spitz, going for 8 gold medals. I saw him swim this year and he is so fast he looked like a damn dolphin going thru the water. ;D It better not be Roddick carrying the flag, that would just be wrong. It's been about an hour since I posted this message and it's chaos here in Tampa right now. This hurricane Charley is getting closer with winds at 145 mph and 10-16 feet of water will be rolling in soon. Electric is going off and on and winds are getting stronger. Saddlebrook is going to take a big hit. Getting scared guys they told us we would be fine here, can't get out now. We are not fine here we will be under water you morons I can't ride this out alone and where the hell is coach rublee. I'm going to my friends room I am getting very scared. Rublee is finally here, must go.

Hi Karen, I cant remember if I welcomed u to the board, so WELCOME I had not realised there was anyone.........anyone.....on the board from Florida........and thus be aware of Hurricane Charlie................I am in the Caribbean and YES you are mad to go in a hurricane such as this. I hope by the time you get this all will be well and you and your family will be safe, in tact, and okay. Seen some stuff on tv.......Anderson Cooper is on now and wow there was some damage done...sorry i had not realised it went from cat 2 to 4 wow and now he says there is a state of emergency, really hope you are okay. Cant get over how many people they evacuvated. We are all bracing ourselves here hoping that we wont have any this year.........still a ways to go.

Well girl I am glad they wont let you out, but I know what you mean one goes crazy sitting around esp here when we have no electricity etc etc They said he was not there cause he has to swim in the morning at 10am or something so would have to get up early, i cant remember who carried the flag now, but it definately was NOT Andy..... actually I did not even see him or Venus, but maybe when I look again I would them.
