Djoko downs Verdasco in 4 sets. He appeared to be lacking energy though...it was quite boring. Federer-Soderling match in progress. Expecting an interesting Novak-Roger semifinal.
Andy's 2nd spot will be claimed by Rafa after the US Open... Or if Djokovic wins the tourney (which I think won't happen with Rodge in his way) He could be the new number 2, I think...or number 3 again. I don't know the numbers...I'll check 'em.
ON MARAT NEWS:
He's received a wildcard for the China Open. China's very near to Russia, Is anyone going to watch him there?

China very near to Russia? Well technically speaking yes, but it's definitely not close enough to Moscow LOL. It's waaaaaaaaaaay far away. I will wait for October to see him in Moscow. We already got our tickets ;D ;D ;D
Re: USO. Both Roger and Novak lost a set yesterday but managed to pull through. I watched the first set of Nole and wasn't impressed at all, then I switched to football ;D
Oudin has finally ended her run at the USO yesterday, it took a non-Russian to stop her LOL. Wosniascki is through.
Today's highlights are Cilic/Del Potro and Gonzo/Rafa

Roger won, but the last two sets, Robin gave him a hard time.

Go Go Roger Federer - Easy two sets then two good fought sets - i so hope its a Rafa V Fed Final! As for the Women for visual reasons i hope Wozniacki wins it - but on a personal level i would love for Kim Clijsters to win - would be a fairytale story. I also think i may become a Melanie Oudin fan - i find it amazing she is 2 years younger than me - Damn - Wozniacki is the same age tho

Rafa-Gonzo play suspended due to rain... 7-6 6-6 (3-2) Match TB. I hope Kimmy gets it this time.. fairytale indeed. If not, I hope she'll give Serena chills. SAFIN001... you're just 19? Wow you're so young.

They've put the kabosh on Rafa-Gonzo tonight with more rain on the horizon. Don't know when they'll play tomorrow yet. With the weather forecast not the best for the remainder of the tourney, me thinks it may be time to change the whole Super Saturday thing, esp for the player's sake. It makes more sense how the other Majors do it.

I agree! Who's your bet to win the semifinal spot? Rafa. No question. Hopefully the break will allow his abdominal injury to lessen (I'm sure it being cold & damp tonight did not help it one bit). But it's no fun stopping, starting, waiting. And it sounds like tomorrow could be even worse, weather-wise, which will just compound the scheduling issues. And Rafa always seems to get the short stick, being in the part of the draw that runs into problems with their weather delays.

Adjusted Schedule for Friday:
12:30 - Kim-Serena NB 2 - Rafa-Gonzo Wozniacki-Wickmayer Men's Doubles Final: Dlouhy-Paes v Bhupathi-Knowles
any/all of the latter three may be moved to Armstrong, depending on the weather situation - lord knows if/when any of them will play tomorrow.

As soon as the rain stops, all 3 matches will play simultaneously: Kim & Serena will be on Ashe, Rafa-Gonza on Armstrong, Wickmayer-Wozniacki on the Grandstand ... still raining though ... EDIT: now they're hoping to just get Rafa completed, even if it's not until evening ... which would then mean the possibility of having both men & women's SF tomorrow, and BOTH finals on Sunday, weather permitting of course. (it would be kinda fun to have both finals the same day, something different )EDIT 2 (6:20 pm): Scratch that. Rain won't let up. Wash-out today. Bummer.
