LMAO. Only just read the last couple of posts ... Maybe I should set up my own "check the MaryB.com" site ... I could be the equivalent of a Russian meerkat .. I'd look just as good in the velour smoking jacket ... You could set up a blog Mary, it would be a hit, and I'm not kidding! ;D LMAO. I could be a polite Scottish tennis blogger ... well, almost. ;D How do you set up a blog anyway? I may be fine on the tennis front, the technology bit I'm only viewing this now as I opted to go down the old-fashioned route again and try usb cables. Good grief. I seem to have an electrical field around me these days. Nothing works! Everything I touch at the moment, explodes. Tonight, I think I will be stuck to the laptop in the library with my arse glued alongside 2 foot of cabling. Think I'll get the duvet on the floor at the ready. Yes ... I have a library ... It compensates for the internet. More so. ;D FG PS Is there a livestream tonight?

Hey, how much is the domain? And who's locking the forum? I might lend a hand at it. Marat may go ala Clijsters and come back for 2011. Come on...this is a very happy place, everytime I visit the forum I get some incredible laughs which is not safe for work, and the Brazilian thing about Marat was so hilarious I spent a good hour laughing and trying not to laugh...

The domain is not expensive and I am the one who is going to lock the forum. Feel free to open up your own place with the same name after this forum goes into archives

It's easy, just set up an account and start typing away ;D

Is there any way for the forum to shut down after Bercy? This would imply me running it until bercy which I cannot do so no

not around much but I'm still coming once in a while to see how thnigs are going
found this place in 2005 when Marat was "resting" after his knee injury got stuck to it cause of the people I found here..... some of them became very good friends my life changed so I stopped coming here but I always kept an eye on you guys
Marat chose to move on with his life I think it's a good decision for this thread to do so too after the USO or Bercy doesn't really make a difference, we're all gonna miss the place cause it's a special place
Annie...... dear Annie, I can still picture your face when I got off that train in London I miss our never ending conversations on msn I hate not being able to talk to you more often thanks for everything you've done in and off this thread

Ok, rant over. If anyone wants to comment on this, please go to "TGFR to shut down after US Open" thread LOL The admin ordered to reply in this thread ;D so I will suffice. I want to use this opportunities to give my goody-bye to this forum. I have many wonderful memories but also some really bitter ones, and I'd like to adress both sides. First to the wonderful memories. I can basically repeat what's already been said by Mrs. Admin: This place used to be grand. I met so many people who became friends, with whom we met in real life and went to tournaments and travelled to visit each other, it has been a fantastic ride. All of this is true. When I first joined in early 2006 (after having been a lurker for quite some time) I was welcomed with open arms, and I've met many wonderful ladies (and a gent, thanks Ily ) - not just online, but also in person. Annie, Alya10, frensje, GG, dendy, lena, jenhatter06, emma, yse, I feel privileged to know you, you have enriched my life and made the tennis journey sooo much more fun! Thanks! I will see some of you in a Marat-context once more, in Moscow and in Bercy, and I'm looking forward to it. I'm also looking forward to staying in touch after this part of our lives ends, even with all of us being busy and occupied with everyday things. As for the bitter memories: I really appreciate all the help people have been providing throughout the years (Annette, Ily, Lau ) but we are all human beings with a lot happening in our lives [...] More than that, there is noone around at this point in time whom I can trust with running this place until the end of the season and who is volunteering to do so, no offense to many of you. As most of you remember, I took over administrative duty last year to help out Annie and lau. With the people on board back then, it was a fairly easy ride. Everyone knew about the tgfr policies, which I was determined to help keep alive, and being an administrator mostly meant re-organizing the threads and getting rid of double-posts ( ;D ;D ;D). But somehow things on this board changed this year. I'm not going into details, let's just say that I finally didn't feel that running this board was worth getting so much crap from all sides. My fuse ran really short in the end (which some of you still get to feel these days), and I decided to step down. It was a hard decision because I felt I was letting down a dear friend in the process , but I just felt had to put my own well-being first. But anyways, I had 4 bad months here; that's nothing compared to 3 wonderful years prior to that. Thanks again to all you, and of course thanks to Marat - well, I hope I can thank him in person since he obviously won't read this. I'll stay a tennis-fan(atic) and I'm sure I'll see a lot of you at various other (online) places. ;D Spasibo, spasibo, spasibo.

So sorry davis...I know I'm one of those who spew crap...really sorry...
Been watching this forum a pretty long time, perhaps a year + without joining I just had the idea to join since it's closing down and yet my first posts is beyond me, I am stupid for typing down very unsightly things, I've upset you once...and I hope none more before the site closes...or anyone for that matter...
Sorry for my mistakes...I am deeply in shame...

We all post things others don't like here and there, it just happens.
