Magda, Santa is just very frustrated at the moment! Okay so I won't bother her. I haven't seen the whole match so I just wanted to know everybody's opinion. But Santa, I hope you will still keep supporting Marat!!

Yeah guys, it's not like it was disastrous! Vass believe me, he wasn't playing bad, Kiefer was just a tad better! When Marat plays well he blast all people off the court. that is "well" of his standard. You can not see the difference between matches between two top-50 players and two between two best players when you watch them. In both matches you see people doing all sorts of shots, running them down, etc... My point is: it could have been a top-20 level battle out there and a top-40 level battle out there and you would hardly see any difference. Anyway, The only way to know what sort of match was that is by looking at how well kiefer plays against another opponent.

do you guys think Safin would have beaten Moya? Well 50/50: I'm sticking to the fact that Kiefer does play realy well. I realy feel better now that Kiefer won Moya.

When Marat plays well he blast all people off the court. that is "well" of his standard. Marat the perfectionist and his standards!!!!!!! When was the last time he blasted someone off the court ?? ?? Maybe you can remind me?? ?? Even at the AO the very 1st match vs Vahaly he lost 1 set, the same vs Nieminen (instead of blowing these guys off the court, OK he was just coming back from injury then, but at the FO it was absolutely horrible!!!!! He SHOULD have blasted Mantilla and this Potito guy off the court, at least I thought so, and what did he do?? I'm not even starting about the rest of this year's tourneys. The other guys winning 6-0, 6-1, just not him of course! OK, I won't rant any more, I'm in way too good mood for that! And yeah Vass, of course he could have played better, then he would have won but Kiefer himself said that he kind of forced Marat to make the errors and Kiefer is really on the roll at the moment. And talking about luck, I start feeling that Marat is right - drawing Fedex after just coming back, nasty Bjorkman, hot Spadea, hot Kiefer in the 1st rounds hasn't been exactly lucky! If Calleri wouldn't have been injured, I'm not sure he would have made it past the 1st rd at the FO even! Maybe he used up all his luck at the AO. Seems to me like his incredible run at the AO with some brilliant play came again too early like the US Open title, he admitted it himself in some interview (saying that he expected just to win a couple of matches at the AO to get the feeling back). Seems like it prooved to be too much for him to handle again. OK, I'll definitely stop now and hope for another great run in the States, he if anyone is capable of surprises, we know that!

Vass, there's no reason for you to shut up! I hope you didn't take it personally, haaaaaa, actually you konw, how I would like to see him blow someone off the court again! And yeah, Kiefer is just really hot at the moment!!! I'm so sad that Moya lost to him!

Yes, and the reason Marat can`t blow the players off the court anymore is the way he is playing, his confidence, his head ETC. thats whats frustrating. When he is on fire, he really is...no one can stop him, he would blow ANYONE off the court. Everyone glimpsed his capabilities. thats why we care for him.

I though that Marta had one less fan before.

"Oh yeah, how could I forget to add Marat to my long list!! This guy is a total riot. I saw him practicing with Joachim Johansson and he is just hilarious, he kept on cracking jokes all the time!! His Russian accent is the best, him and Pim Pim were having a blast. The best part was when Paradorn Srichaphan came walking in and Marat jokingly tried to to hit him with a ball. They both shook hands, said hi to each other and Safin went, "Hey you gained some weight since last time!" Marat is so funny, he even poses for pictures"
same practise session(s), different view. I guess someone has to understand his (sarcastic) humour and that he is just joking and doesn`t mean it in a bad way. His colleges seem to, and have a lot of fun. ;D
