Kolya is out in the first round - and in straight sets also, to Benjamin Becker. I wish the same result to the Serbian "world no.3" - wishful thinking, it can do no harm...

I've got the very fairy dust for that ...
Dima has just taken the first set 6-4.

Well done to Jule. Thank god she wasn't the second match on court 11 yesterday! I would definitely have lost the will to live. I'm on court 11 again ... Wee sis is about to start her match. Here's hoping she doesn't go for a marathon as well.

Heading back to hotel now to get something to eat. It was getting a bit chilly - even for a Scot! Think the heat reflecting off my burnt arms helped. I left my fleece back in the hotel. Stuck it out for Dinara's match. She did well. Won the second set convincingly 6-2. Well done wee sis. Fingers crossed that big bruv will flatten Noely tomorrow. And I still can't believe I won't see it! Bugger, again!
Sounded like the crowd enjoyed the Murray Santoro match. Was there a lot of touch play? I miss that ... Showing my age again ...
Had a touch of the panda look again, though not the full-blown effect of last night. And I can't risk no sunblock on the face ...
Okay Big Yin, your fairy godmother ain't gonna be courtside tomorrow, but she'll be thinking of you. Get control of the net early doors - and remember, don't give in. The match ain't over until the last ball is struck. One weakness that Noely Boy has shown is his stamina. Make me proud again ... And show off like you've never shown off before.

Ana is on? Tssk. They'll show that. Never mind the match, if you've got legs up to your armpits, you've got more chance of having your match take priority.
Hey ... the Big Yin's got bigger legs. Does that count?

Sounded like the crowd enjoyed the Murray Santoro match. Was there a lot of touch play? yes, it was quite a variety of shots from both players, I found it really nice to watch, and I'm sure I am not the only one One weakness that Noely Boy has shown is his stamina. I'm not sure if that's one of his weaknesses, Mary...he's thought to be one of the fittest guys on the tour, and I dare say fitter (and also younger ) than our boy...but never mind, wishful thinking as I said before: DAVAI, BIG GUY! (it even rhymes )

Today's results in overview: Nadal def Beck 64 64 76 17 aces by Rafa! Tursunov def Mahut 64 67(10) 76(9) 36 75 How long was this match? Thanks for the daily updates, Annette! Rafa has definitely improved his serve, I think that started to show even from Queen's... And the Tursu-Mahut match lasted almost 4 hours( 231 minutes), according to the Wimbly site. happy for Dima, but am feeling rather sorry for Mahut: he's a fine grass player, I think - his run at last year's Queen's was quite nice, and had he been a bit luckier he'd have even taken the title - but fails to produce results

Quick report on Marat's whereabouts last two days
Monday- practised with Hernan Gumy for 2 hours on site was really entertaining and socialising with the other spanish players - got some pics there but sadly not of his match
Tuesday - Practised with David Ferrer for 2 hours from 2 till 4 - on the court next to Fed and Bjorkoman and Fed and Marat were just talking most of the time - Marat placed alot of emphasis on his serve in that practise and his forhand was spraying all over the place but backhand solid
Sadly i start work at 1PM tomoz so me too will not see Marat match but i can only put in a good word to the official of that match (IM working at officials lounge) to help Marat in anyway he gonna need it
Take care and speak to u guys soon
