1st on Centre Court!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I hope is that the TV will show their match and NOT Anna's one!!!!!!!! How great is that, that's been ages I haven't seen my hbibi!! sorry for you girls, let's hope he'll win that one for the record!!! If they show Ana on your tv, try this dutch site: www.wimbledon2008.nl (I hope it works outside Holland too). You can watch live matches from like 8 courts for free! I actually discovered it today, but I am pretty sure they will show Marat's match on tv here. I've got like 4 channels who broadcast Wimbly so they have to and otherwise I can watch it on the computer!

*woots for the Andys, Dima (surprised it lasted that long after Mahut's spill and ankle wrapping in set 1), James, Richie (although shame Mardy couldn't make it more of a contest), the Tommys, X-Man, Misha, Kiwi, Rafa (glad I wasn't the only one to notice the shorter hair) and Gulbis (wish that would've been on a show court) *woah to Ivan and Nikolay upsets *thanks all for updates and piccies everyone *Marat 1st on Centre tomorrow means I'll get to see an hour-and-a-half-ish before work (yes!) Thursday Look Ahead: Andy R-Tipsarevic, Scheuttler-Blake (again?), all French affair Richie-Grosjean, X-Man-Andy Murray, the Battle of the Tommys ;D and Gulbis-Nadal

I'm in the queue ... 6180 ... Will probably get in the grounds by about noon. I've got my bag of pre-mixed fairy dust with me and have promised Denise that I will be performing some rituals involving chants, and perhaps a few candles if I can hide them from the stewards. Will watch the match on the big screen and be casting spells on the boy. It's a bit more cloudy today and there's a bit of a wind gusting around. With my usual optimism/stupidity, I have left my fleece in the hotel again.
Hope the Big Yin doesn't start mumping about the wind - might swirl around in centre court a bit.
Right, back to the fairy magic ... should've asked him for some toenail clippings yesterday at the practice courts ... That would have really freaked him.LMAO.
Ok Big Yin, get out there and show your magic. Good luck! X!
PS Glad to see Dima won his match. Watched the first 2 sets and knew it would be a battle. He's playing Chris Eaton next round - a British qualifier!

Even if the predicted result is not what we'd like to see, I think this is actually a nice, realistic view with an optimistic prospect for Marat: Wimbledon - Simon says: Djokovic too good for Safin Simon Reed says that Marat Safin has at least one big tournament left in him, but not this time around and not against Novak Djokovic.
"Marat Safin still remains a charismatic figure in tennis, and there will be so many people wanting him to do well. It's been a nightmare for him on his way back from injury, he's just not been consistent enough really, but you never know with Safin. The big crowd tomorrow will obviously help him against Djokovic, he'll feel the adrenaline, which sometimes sees him through in difficult situations. But I think he's playing the wrong guy at the wrong time, to be honest, Djokovic is just looking superb at the moment. He really was wonderful against Michael Berrer, the way he finished was spectacular. I hope Safin plays really well, I hope he feels the moment and I hope it's a terrific match, but I can only honestly only see one winner at the moment. I still think he believes he can make it back to the top some day, though. It's looking increasingly unlikely, but the pigheadedness that makes champions is still there with him and I admire him for that. I do wish him well but don't think he's going to do anything against Djokovic here, grass not being his favourite surface in addition to Djokovic's obvious skills. But I still think that there's a chance that somewhere along the line there's still one big tournament left in Marat. uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/25062008/58/wimbledon-simon-says-djokovic-good-safin.html

Safin won in the end and seemed happy. But the smile didn’t last long. To get off the court, he had to run a gauntlet of autograph hounds and well-wishers and little girls and people who just wanted to be in his vicinity. You could see the irritation build, until Safin finally escaped with the beginnings of a scowl. The whole Safin Event, from match to mob to aftermath, had been fun to watch. Like a lot of places around here, it felt like the center of the tennis universe.
LOL, how much has a reporter has to imagine to add a little more to the bad boy image. When there is nothing to report you invent a little ;D

I didn't see any evidence of him scowling. He did get off court quickly, but that was to get away from the panda!

LOL, how much has a reporter has to imagine to add a little more to the bad boy image. When there is nothing to report you invent a little ;D Bad boy image? To me he sounded genuinely sorry for Marat ;D LOL, well it only shows like one event might look different to different ppl ;D the guy saw scowl I saw tiredness, I read sarcasm, you read pity. Funny Boy, I'd like to do some work before the match but my concentration levels are really low Who cares about GDP and exchange rates, when there is a Marat/Nole match about to start?!? Stupid macroeconomy! How are ya doing Mary? Sprinkled Marat with fairy dust already? And have you found a spot to sit on Murray Mount? ;D

Just got on to Church Rd - queue inching its way along steadily. This fairy dust is getting pretty heavy ... Hope the ATP don't think the Big Yin is covered in coke when they see him covered in white powder!
Heading through the gallery of Scarfe illustrations now. Will be at the security section shortly. Bet I set off the alarm again. I had my first body search of the week yesterday. No idea what set it off.

Body search number 2. Nothing like a quick grope to set you up for the day. LMAO.
The fairy has landed. I'm going round to the practice courts, then I'll get my place on the hill.
Go for it Big Yin. Fairy dust clouds are accumulating from around the world.

There's just been an announcement - 30% chance of a shower in next hour. They've mistaken the fairy dust cloud for a rain cloud! LMAO. Weather to be dry for remainder of day.
