Marat's news from the OS
23 March 2008 Marat News: Marat spent the last few days in Boca Raton practising with Yevgeny Kafelnikov and his trainer Miguel Maeso who has come across from Valencia to be with him in Miami. Marat arrived in Miami on Friday the 21st. Hernan Gumy who went home to be with his wife who is expecting a baby (still waiting) will fly back on Tuesday to Miami to be with Marat. Marat and Hernan Gumy get on very well together and they are a good team. That is why Hernan will be with Marat. Marat has been working hard, he is feeling fit and hitting the ball well. He is still out there and still trying to do his best. If he didn't love his "job" he would not be there. All he needs is to find that magical link and win and he knows the desire will be there. He is taking it day by day but whatever the desire is still there to win.

Oooh, Munich is so far away from Dortmund!!! And I think that it is absolutely impossible for me, to go to Munich, because I drive a car with a Dortmund licence plate!! Hahaha!

good gracious!!!!I'd never thought about this! exactly, Dina! But I am happy that Marat really actually took the challenge and keeps fighting even though i used to think Marat would never ever had to / want to play qualifications, instead he'd call it a quit.....(his pride wouldn't allow him to..that sort...sorry, Marat, I was wrong) Davai Marat!

From the OS: 16 May: Hernan Gumy arrived on Thursday 15th and met up with Marat and they will fly together to Moscow today. After so long away Marat needs to sort out a few things in Moscow before travelling to Paris for Roland Garros. More details on Marat's movements will be provided later.

I can only hope that Marat will straighten things out positively as he played well in Hamburg and he seemed to progress quite alot recently. I don't wanna think about any possibility of ret***** . Justine already shocked me, though I wish her well on future endeavors. Wait on further details on Marat's decision. (already booked my ticket to Cincy, crossing fingers!)
