Good to see 2 good finals. Well done to them both - though I would have loved to see Tsonga win. I still thought he might take it to a fifth right up to the end. Hopefully he stays injury free and shows what a good all-round player he is. (And he's very good at the net ... a man after my own heart). second that, Mary! I was rooting for Tsonga as well. I like his personality and sportsmanship. Congrats to Novak for his first GS and I think if he will have a bright future, such a talented young fellow !!! but I have to admit that Novak's between points ball bouncing stuff at crucial moments makes me a little bit uncomfy cuz IMHO it's not that fair to the opponent, well, maybe it's just me being too sensitive ..... ============================ Amazing to see so many rising Serbian stars, Jelena, Ana, Novak, Janko.....absolutely incredible! Vamos Tsonga, and of course, our Marat, stay healthy and have a superb 2008 season

woot woot for Novak! definitely an electric energy from the crowd ... nerves, tension from both guys, which is totally understandable ... crazy rallies and angles (esp one point in the 4th game) once they got into it Jo's dad was so cute ... busy taking pictures when Jo was walking out ... and the Djokovic family was cute too with "N-O-L-E" printed out on their jackets (and my gosh, how much all the Djokovic brothers look alike ) Big Kudos to Jo for sticking close in the match and getting a set ... this was the guy's FIRST ATP-level final -- he definitely is a winner anyway with the way he played these two weeks -- long may it continue This AO was spectacular! Hopefully it's a good sign for the rest of the year ;D (and it's hard to believe that the marathon day was just a week ago ) ... kinda sad that it's over, want it to keep going ;D Why can't the Ladies play at night, just like the guys? It might ... Melbourne's The Age newspaper reported Sunday that the women's final is likely to be shifted from its Saturday afternoon slot to Saturday night in a move driven by the demands of television broadcasters. The men's final was moved from its Sunday afternoon time slot to a night session in 2005. Tennis Australia has not confirmed the switch in timing, but said all aspects of the tournament would be reviewed at the end of the event. "We'd make an announcement when the time comes," Tennis Australia spokeswoman Eloise Tyson said. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/tennis/01/27/notebook.ap/index.htmland a final note: Spoke to Eric Winogradsky, Tsonga coach's, who professes that his protégé's favorite player was ... Marat Safin. ;D sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/jon_wertheim/01/27/50.thoughts/1.html

Congrats Novak ;D ;D ;D Even though I was dying for Jo to pull out some big guns and win the damn thing, Nole surely deserved this ;D AMAZING first Grand Slam of the year. We saw some old style wonderful Marat performance, some huge upsets and intrigues and two very young determined and great winners ;D ;D ;D Anything a grand slam should be - this definitely was ;D Bring on the DC!!!! Russia-Serbia..that should be fun I hope

Congrats to Nole...I wanted him to win, and I'm happy he did...But Jo-Wil has won me over as well...he was good. I mean really good. He did kinda play like how Marat did before...(wish he could play like it again). And i liked that he was smiling throughout the awarding, even though he lost. he's such a great sport.
