Great pics Maryb!!! I went to Edinburgh once but now I'm mad I didn't go further up!! Amazing places! ;D kisses Hi Alya - Pitlochry is only just over an hour and a half away from Glasgow/Edinburgh. We're lucky that places like this are on our doorstep and quite often a short journey away.

went up to Maryland for a long-weekend visit with my roomie from college and her fiance ... went into DC a couple days and walked around, saw some sights (been a good 10 years since the last time I was in DC) .... Friday: cold, wet, drizzly roomie's very pretty umbrella which reminds me of a poinsetta local school band came and played a few songs at the WWII Memorial -- troopers in the rain -- was nice imprompto thing to see & hear their adorable, wonderful dog Coady Friday's rain meant Saturday & Sunday were cool, yet sunny, and just gorgeous fall weather outside, then inside the Library of Congress couple pictures from a DC United MLS game v Columbus Crew here at home, we don't really get a fall season -- so I enjoyed getting to see all the pretty colors of the fall leaves (which I proceeded to take pictures of the whole way to the airport ;D) and, lastly, I was bored on the plane ride home and had a lovely window seat, so took some pictures ;D ..... this was actually about when we reached final cruising altitude, and had been served drinks and such -- I could still the ground! -- don't ever remember visibility being that good -- but, of course, we proceeded to head into clouds shortly after I took the picture view of the moon from my plane window puffy clouds

I went to the Bercy Masters last week. Marat wasn't there but pretty much everybody else was so I truly felt like having landed in tennis heaven! Amazing matches, a great atmosphere in the stadium, beautiful weather in Paris (well, at least most of the time)! ;D As a little extra I treated myself to a few nights in the player hotel which added to the whole experience - breakfast next to Baghdatis, hanging out in the bar next to Canas, Gonzo and his girlfriend, meeting the whole Murray clan... Coming home was cruel As a steady companion, Alex (aka Alya10) was there for the duration of my stay; thanks for a great time I didn't take any photos during the matches this time! Well, I took about 10 during the Berdych-Ancic match on Tuesday night but that doesn't really count. I wanted to indulge in the matches for a change and that was a good decision, the highlight being the Roger-Nalby clash. Wonderful, wonderful tennis!!! Since this is a Marat site and there were no Marat experiences I will not write a report. You might enjoy the following photos, though The player hotel in tennis mode: Bercy stadium: The following pics are from a photo exhibition at the Roland Garros tennis museum:
