i watched requim for a dream!! it is a bit sick and depressing but an excellant film!! its a bit like trainspotting but even more harrowing and graphic!!! its got jennifer conelly and jared leto in as a bunch of drug addicts!!! i think some of u will enjoy it!!! I watched it, one time. I liked it, but no intentions to watch it again ever again. It´s a 'tough' film, but if you want to see something really, really sick watch Korean movie Oldboy. Great, great movie though. I´m going through a period of Asian movies (to name it somehow..., they are too many genders and the industry in Asia is huge). They are great!! Much better scripts than anything written in Hollywood (and most of the times, stunning, visually speaking). Too bad it´s not that easy to find many of them. But just old, classic Akira Kurosawa makes it worth it. [/quote] i liked old boy too!! ;D did u know this film was the guy who carried out the virginia massacres favourite film. Apparently they said it was films like this that helped his morbid imagiantion....which leads to the old debate that do violent films lead to violent people!!! Also is there not an western copy/remake oof old boy?? maybe i am wrong?!! by the way i am getting into asian films too. i watched kung fu hustle the other week and thought it was ace!!!!

Shrek the third...it was cute but not my favorite...too many characters....I loved the cat and donkey but I was expecting a little more jokes...the second one was my favorite.

I saw "Zodiac" today after having waited for its release for over a year. I really like David Fincher's work and I'm a big fan of the three main actors Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo; add the serial killer subject and you got me hooked ;D While I wouldn't call the movie brilliant, it surely was a great achievement by all those involved - Fincher's most grown-up film to date. Sure, "Zodiac" lacked the action and explicitness of its predecessors "Fight Club" or "Seven"; instead, Fincher took his time for in-depth character development and delivered a fascinating case study of actual events that took place from the 60s to the late 80s. The photography was good, the score and production design matched the feeling of the movie without overpowering it, every supporting roll was cast perfectly with a familiar face and the performance of the main characters was stellar. The only thing I might criticize was the film's length - 157 min. was just a little bit too much and made the movie stagnant at times. Still, very entertaining and highly recommended.

I saw knocked up from the same people who made the 40 year old virgin....I didn't have much expectations but it was sooooo hilarious, you must see it. I was more than I expect it.
Shrek 3 it was cute but I liked the 2nd better. I think this is more and adult movie now than a kids one.
Oceans 13. the boys went back to vegas, I guess the oceans 12 was so bad they decided to go back to basics, still the 1st oceans was the best. Just the joy of looking at matt damon, brad pitt and George clooney on one screen its worth the 7 bucks...It has a few good moments but nothing like the original.

annie I didn't see the transformers but my brother told me it was a good movie... The bourne ultimatum it received awful critics but I liked it because it has a happy ending, matt damon and cool fights...the first scene its in Russia lol...
My favorite movie of the summer, El Cantante...produced by j-lo its about Hector Lavoe played by marc anthony(j-lo plays puchi his wife), and although there are many movies of this kind, the guy who becomes singer, has it all and then losses it all because of drugs...but I grew up listening to Hector lavoe, he was the biggest and the baddest of all salsa singer of all times and of course they should put a dancing spot on the movie theater because the music who was re-recorded by marc anthony was just plain awesome! the acting by J-lo and anthony too its not everywhere but if you can watch it I think its worth it.

Ah, since my last post, i've seen Transformers, Planet Terror, Die Hard 4.0 and a local horror movie Ouija.
Let's start with Transformers. Yeah, it was awesome. Loved the effects when the bots transforms. Love the car Bumblebee...cute. Who would've thought robots can stir up you emotions! But they did. Sacrifice angles do that.
Planet Terror. Guilty pleasure. it was icky, gory, bloody and just plane YUCK-y....i guess I'm weird coz i kinda liked it. It was funny anyhow. the only thing that sticks to me now was when Quentin Tarantino was about to rape Rose McGowan, his thing melted to a goo when he pulled down his pants. YUCK. plus the action sequence was kinda good.
Die Hard 4.0, well, like all the other die hard movies it was action packed. I want Bruce Willis for a dad, if i didn't have one yet. I liked his dauhgter's character...kinda reminds me of me...'cept I haven't been in her situation. I liked it when her captor told her to "Behave or I'll really hurt you!" and she said, "Oh yeah? Let's step outside just you and me, let's see who hurts who!" tough girl she is!
Bourne Ultimatum will start being shown in cinemas just today actually so I might see it this week if i am not too busy.

I didn't see it....
anyway, i did see Bourne Ultimatum today after all...we were let out of work early so I went to see it. No time like now and no day like today!!! LOL....It was great. Nice action shots. Stunts were awesome. By the looks of it, there is going to be another one. Mystery builds up on who Nikki Parsons is in Jason Bourne/David(...uh something...)'s life...i'm guessing, she's his wife or girlfriend before he became Jason Bourne and forgot about her...can't wait till next installment!!

annie it's your answer! the name Alaoui is pretty much popular in Morocco, people who's second name is Alaoui are usually related from far or near to the royal moroccan family, their name as well is Alaoui. They are the reigning family for centuries now! :DAnd by the way even though I used my name for the character it's not really me! (you know, I think it's just a fantasy to hear the sentence"Dina I love you!"said by Marat!) ::)oh well! I think I'll see that movie, I'm being lazy lately about movies who don't make me cry a loooooooooot! :'(too emotionnal Dina!
