Thanx, Myke. And abt my interests... i'm a very curious person by nature, I like learning new things and so on... but out of all of them the one I'm really still holding on to is architecture( I've always been good at math, esp geometry and the fact that I have an eye and "hand" for drawing and sketching will definitely help). Like I said, we'll see what happens. Yeah, ambassador sounds pretty weird, but the real decision is up to you, this was just a suggestion (and not even, just an idea)... I really feel for you, Myke, it must be very frustrating One thought, though: I think that if you take a year off to work and then try to go back to school, it will be very difficult to start studying again and all that, so, I would decide now on what to do. And don't tell your parents until U've really made up your mind... ;D ;D ;D. *sending positive vibes to Myke to help him/her be enlightened and come to the right decision*

Sound better than what I thought it to be. Lucky shot, choosing this one Hahaha yeah it is a lot better then it sounds too. The courses that you had in mind with it, like interpersonal communication are the courses that everyone hated as well, but tehre are only 2 or 3 like those over the 4 years. So it's not to bad. they've changed the name of the study into communication and media now. Makes it more clrea. Good luck on ur desicion, uni starts soon though, so not much time left.

oh man I won't say anything in this thread coz it reminds me that I still didn't get in to any uni and I have no idea what will happen next month . Though I should get the answer from college soon..... god I'm so scared really? In Poland when you study English at uni you can become a teacher or translator (but not a journalist), so that's why I want to study English. I don't want to be a teacher but being a translator is not so bad sighh...i once wanted to be a translator... then i found out that to be a translator, u can't just be good at 2 languages...u have to know A FEW! which is where u europeans have an advantage...cos u learn like...2 or 3 european languages...at least, most of u do...esp the dutch. sigh...i guess they need to cut costs and only pay one person who can do like...3 or 4 languages...instead of someone who can only do 2...

ANYWAY, here's what i'm doing.
I'm in the department of Pharmacy (they refuse to let us be a faculty). It's a 4 year course, and i'm 3 weeks into my second year.
What we do in school is we do a lot of chemistry and biology, plus a bit of law (pharmacy law). And we learn to dispense drugs (aka fill prescriptions), erm...do analysis of drugs...prepare dosage forms (aka...the different ways of administering drugs.)
basically, we're training to be LEGAL DRUG DEALERS.
so...pharmacists can go into marketing, wholesale of drugs, research and development of new drugs...which can take years and years..., hospital work, retail... , specialist work (like...cancer drug specialist...etc)... yeah...that's the general idea.
Kinda fun.

Hope they make it through the bad weather ;D Great to have real talents like that, like you have. I'm not saying I don't have any talents, let say I can do a little bit of many things And yes, starting a study after a year of work is difficult. But maybe studying just isn't for me though. It's what my parents want me to do. For myself, I don't really have the ambition to study. Not anymore anyways. I think. Hahaha yeah it is a lot better then it sounds too. The courses that you had in mind with it, like interpersonal communication are the courses that everyone hated as well, but tehre are only 2 or 3 like those over the 4 years. Then it's really not so bad, the way you put it now! I know, I have to decide before Monday. Preferably... BUT, I think I'm going to pay my college money for now. And then go and try to find a fun place to do my internship. If I succeed in that, I'll go on. If not, I can still get the college money back and then see what else I can do.

I hope too..... Now I will search if I can have a evening class.....It will be difficult.......I think.. yeah i guess it's dificult to find a russian class where you live. If you really want to study Russian and to use it for a future job (translator...) you can still come to Paris. There's a formation in Russian in the university of Paris III La sorbonne Nouvelle. www.univ-paris3.fr/formation/index.php

Well people, Myke has made up her mind! NEWSFLASH! For now, I've decided to enroll into an one year study, which is a secretary/administrive study. This is totally different from what I've done before, but I think I need to see a totally different side. I think I might like it, so I'll give it a chance. It was the one option I felt for the most. I could've also decided to work for a year, but I thought I just might as well do this one year study. I'm a little anxious for it, but I have good hope! ;D So, this was my little update for those who are interested in it
