Third on court 18 - I'm delighted. ;D I can pass out for an hour on the grass round the practise courts when I get in and then head round to watch my Big Pixie. He was on court 18 last year and I got a great seat - hopefully same this year. Might try to get up even earlier tomorrow and get there before 9am. With any luck, I could be in for 1pm ... Have to say, I must be getting old, I hate sitting in that queue now. It's demoralising that you're sitting there for hours just to get a ground pass. Why can't they hand out several thousand tickets for the show courts on the day - to the true tennis fans? You still have to go through the turnstile and buy a ticket anyway - it won't slow the queue down. 500 per court - it's an absolute disgrace and shows complete contempt for the fans. If I hear one more time from the AELTC that 'it's part of the Wimbledon experience to queue', an old duffer in a panama hat is going to get it ... And they are charging for one side of the old court 2 stand - but it's free on the opposite side! Moans over for the day ... more tomorrow no doubt. ;D Got to see young Dimitrov play today on the practise courts and grabbed some video clips of him - and Peter! ;D Think I'll put a bet on him for Wimbles 2012. I'll do my duty tomorrow and take lots of vids and pics for you ... and be there for moral support for my Big Pixie. My only advice to him tonight is to stay focused, no mumping or racquet throwing, serve and volley when he can - you're an expert at the net remember, Big Yin - all my usual coaching tips. This is your best surface. And remember Big Yin, put some spin on that ball as well. ;D The courts will have a good bounce on them at the moment. Your fairy dust was sprinkled over the grounds today for you. And smile for the camera ... good luck. FG

Dina - meant to say, there is a camera on court 18. You'll need to go on to the Wimbledon website at www.wimbledon.org - there'll be coverage there. The Big Yin may not get on court until about 4pm though. If we're lucky.

how in the world? it's not a TV court!!!!!!!!!! how come they put the guy on THAT court? ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not a tv court?? I believe it is actually.. at least I hope so haha. Today I watched Wimbledon livestreams for free (only available for Dutch residents) but they showed court 18 thankfully. So I guess it is a tv court. Or at least there are camera's haha.

^^^Court 18 IS a TV court. It is actually one of the nicest courts at Wimbly, so no need for the frustration, Dina .

Got here earlier ... and I'm even further back in the queue ... 8877. There's another couple of thousand behind us. This is ridiculous. We're all consoling each other in this section of the queue ... Have just been told we may have to wait until 4ish for people to leave before we get in. Big Yin, have a rant on behalf of the poor sods in the queue ... we need a champion to tell the AELTC that this is mental, and physical (the sun is now burning my neck) cruelty.
Gits.

Coaching tips for today (didn't get to see Jessie yesterday). As a lefty, he'll probably slice his serve to take it down low and away from you. Be ready for some wide serves. The courts will be pretty good today as it is to be hot (like the back of my neck), so you'll get a good bounce. The ball, not the racquet! Remember, assuming this bloody queue moves, I will be there watching and will not allow anything other than focus and solid play. Good luck. And send some beer into the crowd for us. We'll need it!

Mission accomplished. Much video footage for your perusal ... With smiles. Round the back of practice courts watching Maestro. Can't see his handbag. Maria must have mugged him.

Have opted to brave the sun and I'm outside court 18 waiting to get in. Another queue, naturally.
Checked out the vids from the practice courts. Don't get too excited girls, there was tongue-action. I know how that gets you all going. LMAO. I shouldn't have stood alongside the babes ...
Will let you know where I'm sitting when I get in. In the sun, naturally. Look for the bright pink Scot - I will be by the time he gets on court!

First set is in the bag for Chakvetadze 6-4. Here's hoping that I'm still not watching this match an hour from now, memories of last year come flooding back ... I'll be keeling over with the heat. She's broken Lisicki's serve and is 2-0.
I'm doomed.
Watch out for me. Got a great seat again, second row at the end of the aisle. You can't miss me. I'm red.
Will have ample opps for more videos.
