Hehehe, you say why Fernando, I say why Richard? I hope Rafa can win this, as I believe he needs it [to prove to all those naysayers that he deserves the #1 ranking]. However I don't think he has been pushed at all this tournament. Actually I think the top 8 [on paper] have had a pretty cruisey run. I DO think that Del Potro can give Rog a run for his money. The best thing about these youngin's is that they have no fear. Cilic, Del Potro, Tsonga, Simon, in the past Bagdatis. That's why I love the AO so much [ok, I am biased] because all these fresh, young guys come in with confidence and think they [and they nearly do] win it. As for Dokic, if she doesn't read/watch/hear the interviews/articles that the Australian press keep printing about her Dad and how wants to fly over if she is in the final or that he collapsed while watching her last game, yeah, I think she has a change. However, if Dinara has the collective Safin spirit, I think she may come out the winner. Either way I will be happy ;D ;D ;D ;D

I am sorry, I know you are all gutted about Murray, but MAN HE BLOODY DESERVED IT! I mean come on!!! With the game the guy has one would think he could stop with all the brain cramping...just play man!!!! What was set 2 all about? It's like he couldn't see the court lines... he did my head in... Di, I am happy for you, you found a substitution. Lucky LOL. He is after all "the sexiest man alive" Annette, Francis, Alex and Annabel will confirm LMAO ;D Dinara needs to get her head out of her a$$. Saw a post-match interview with her yesterday and hated every single second of it. I think the girl is getting her head swollen too much. I believe she said something on the lines of "this girl came out (Cornet that is) and she had nothing to confront me with. Absolutely nothing. Her game is absolutely nothing to look at. I won the first set playing my tennis and then in the second it was like somebody pushed some button to turn me off. Not because her play was anything special but it was me getting brain cramps for some weird reason". I mean seriously...have some respect. I am not impressed I am very happy for Lena and am so hoping for her to get far, I love that girl As for the men... I don't think I need to tell anyone who my favourite is from the ones left LOL Too bad he won't win though. I don't see it happening for now infortunately Look forward to Nadal - Simon in the morning ;D

Totally agree with everything you said about Andy, but like you said, he has time on his side. He will get a GS eventually! And I cant believe why people are not giving enough credit to Rafa, saw his match against Gonzo and I was impressed. Hope he makes it to the final and wins it And Anna I did not know Dinara said that, not good

Only got to see last set and a half of Andy's match this morning. What sort of scoreline was that? From what I was able to see, he looked pretty sluggish out there and unfocused. I'll have a look on the Eurosport player at the first couple of sets - from what I've read here, I may be in for a major disappointment.
Maybe he overdosed on his Lem-Sips the other day. I'm not making excuses for him, but maybe he had 'man-flu ...'. LOL.
Ah well, back to the drawing board for Andy. But, I'm really hoping that Maestro gets in gear and equals that record. Failing that, Rafa.
PS Verdasco looks more and more like Ronaldo every day. Is he moonlighting from the footie?

The Fedex was on fire!!! he completely outclassed JMDP!! great performance! And I am so happy A-Rod got through, even though it was via a withdrawal. Doesnt make it any less of a win though. But Novak completely wilted in the heat. Really excited about this semi! Havent seen Roger and Andy play against each other in a while. And yay for Dina. Good results all round today

yeesh, did yesterday turn out to be a bust .... figured Novak wouldn't win between his late night with Marcos and the insane (120+ degree F on-court) heat, but it's a shame he felt that bad ... hope tonight's better

Well done wee sis! ;D So happy for you - flatten Big Serena in the final. You are more than capable now of being numero uno. Go for it, pet! I will brew you some of yer bruv's fairy dust for the occasion. The tgfr crew are behind you ... Why didn't you hang around, my Big Pixie? You'll have many more birthdays ... but GS finals in the family? Tssk. Miami? Are you staring at that big, sterile white beach again from a high rise hotel window? Why?!? What's the attraction? No offence intended again to Miami posters ...

Rafa - Verdasco -- now THAT was a Semi!!! (Who would have thought?) Wowee, what a match - and Winner City! ;D 5 hours, 14 minutes, Rafa comes through 67 64 76 67 64 ... but HUGE kudos to Verdasco for keeping up with Rafa for that long, that close (and hitting 95 winners! ) 1 v 2 Hard Court Slam Final ... hard to say there, although one might give Fed an edge with Rafa having a marathon, but then again, it's Rafa, so ... who knows?
