Roger's absent first serve, and his giving away the 5th set aside, there were plenty of great shotmaking once they got into an exchange. Shame the 5th set had to be such a deflator -- really didn't think Roger was gonna get it to 5 in the first place (and probably shouldn't have). Really could have gone either way up until the 5th, although Rafa definitely deserves it more then Fed. Crazy to think that Rafa has 3 out of 4 Majors, and he's still only 22. (!!) Every time they play they bring something special to it. You'd think it would get old after they produce impossible winners and "are you kidding me" angles again and again, but it really doesn't get old. Just can't believe that they keep coming up with it. Really unexpected was Roger's display of emotion during the trophy presentation (nothing like making Rafa feel bad ) ... but nice to see Rafa give him a little hug and consolation. Can't believe how much Rafa has Roger pegged, or how much Roger lets Rafa, and history, get to him (even though he probably wouldn't admit it) ... but props to King Rafa

CONGRATS TO RAFA, THE FIRST AO TITLE!!!!!! Didn't watch the ceremony until this morning. I know Roger wanted it so much, but didn't expect that his couldn't control his tears for so long....... Credits to Warrior RAFA, hats off to him!! Never give up and chase every ball. Maybe he might win US OPEN and would that make any historic record? It's interesting to see how Roger is so emotional after many important matches, yet so composed when he is playing, whereas Big Yin is totally the opposite (win or lose). It must have hurt so much to lose the 3rd round at his possibly last AO, but he approached to the net and hugged Roger and smiled during interview and made some dry humor jokes. When he was the runner-up, 02, 04, he was the same and managed to make people laugh alot. That's something I really like about MARAT! When would I see Marat again?

Verdasco-Nadal match was definitely the best one and the longest here to date. It was so good, and I must applause Verdasco for fighting so hard. Its such a pity the way he lost though, serving 2 DF in the last game. It should give him a lot of confidence though for the rest of the year.
As for Federer, it must have hurt a lot, but at the end of the day he lost to a better player on the night. Good for Rafa, as he kept fighting and hanging on until the end. He was tiring in the end though but he pulled through!
