Perhaps the real reason is related to the had polemic because the organization of the Master Madrid did not give a WC to Juan Carlos Ferrero, whereas they gave it to Safin and to Fognini, in return of a favor that they did to Tiriac in the Master of Rome Madrid eventually gave JC a WC. But JC refused to accept it and some fellow Spaniards were with him. Who knows. Best of luck to both of them anyways!!

My Big Pixie withdrew from Madrid?!? Shoulder injury?!? Get well soon. No more budgie jokes from me. And I'll lay off the slipper jokes as well. Put aside the disappointment Big Yin and think positive.

It didn't happen exactly that way .... but the final result is that Ferrero isn't in Madrid and I believe that Safin doesn't come for solidarity with he. Do you remember that Ferrero and Safin are friends, and David Ferrer too....and a phone call....

I thought it pretty much did happen that way. It's a nice thought that Marat didn't go to Madrid in solidarity with Ferrero but I really don't think so. I don't think that Safin and Ferrero are quite such good friends now - can't remember the incident but it was a while ago and something went wrong. He's tired and very disappointed and he'd have to fly to Madrid then back to St Petersburg and that's the most likely reason he's not going....

EDIT: MARILOLY and helen, we can discuss the Madrid issues in the Madrid thread before getting warned by dear Admin. This is about KC after all. Yes it is indeed! Solidarity in tennis sounds like a great concept, but rest assured - his withdrawal had NOTHING to do with Juan Carlos Ferrero. And now: off to the right thread ladies.

Fair enough - didn't mean to go off-topic But it was only one reply and his withdrawal did have something to do with the Kremlin Cup

LOL ive never once not had the heart to post a comment in a thread cos a loss was too hard to take before till now - i ve needed a day to recover This loss hurts not the manner or the player just seeing how much he wanted it and how long he has to wait and suffer for a title but it wasnt meant to be. Back to being analyticial he didnt deserve to win i thought Kunitsyn was a better player LOL i dont think Marat underperformed massively but was just never really in it to win it and fair play to Kunitsyn on home turf done the damage and didnt let nerves get bettter of him and for the sake of it Marat wasnt fully fit at the end LOL Well done Maratski - better luck in Petersburg All eyes on......... Elena Dementieva LOL

Hello all you lovelies Am back at home again (and I WANNA GO BACK TO MOSCOW!!!! ) and once again i'd like to thank all the sweet ladies Anna, Annabel, Alex and Lena + Katya for the wonderful days together there: It was a truely wonderful and special experience Have made tons of pictures ( about 1500 , not all of marat ) which i need to sort out all and then i'll provide you with those! The idea is to make a report this time as well, like we did last year, and i hope it'll be finished a tiny little bit sooner then the previous one, LOL .... No promises about that, cuz after this week am full into work again ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I see Anna and me made it for the 2nd time in a row into the official final ceremony pictures ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D On the first one we're in between Igor (who btw truelly deserved to win this ) and the last men on the right, and on the other one, we're right in the middle of Marat and Igor
