Levy-Andreev 6-4 6-2 4-6 6-2 Sela - Youzhny 3-6 6-1 6-0 7-5
Extremely poor display which would definitely end up in 3-0 today. Elrich/Ram are too good of a doubles team.
Meanwhile Croatia leads Roddick-less USA 2-0 and both Spain-Germany and Czech Republic - Argentina are 1:1 after day 1

Hey, guys! I’m a new one here, so hallo…
I know this is not the newbie’s thread, but I know this one is the one you’ll read these days, so…
After reading you for a already a few months now, I have finally decided to join you, ‘cause I absolutly adore your topics & discussions - of all the Marat Safin stalking community forums, this one is the sweetest and the most effective in spreading the Safin -adoration virus, as I’ve checked on my own skin.
To cut a long story short, in March I was dragged by my best friend at the Davis Cup matches – she is a Safinette since like for ever. Not being a tennis fan I had to do a little research, so I’ve googled his ass, I found you and I got contaminated, so here I am!
Kisses to you all!

Well, it is 9:06am in the States, and I am watching via livestream, a miserable looking loss-to-be by Russia. How I wish Mr. Safin could go out on a better note for Davis Cup.

Ah well, pity it ended that way. The boys fought hard to take it all the way to 5 sets - and then lost 6-4 in the end. Shame. Mrs Annie ain't getting to see another Russian DC final this year. Chin up boys. Sounds like the doubles was the best match in the tie so far. Right, my bark chips beckon again ...

I'm sure if Marat had played yesterday the tie would still be on tomorrow! That's been ages that I haven't cried in front of a match, not to say a DC match...but the circumstances are cruel for me! I'm just gutted and full of anger!

Well, I guess this was the last night Marat and the Davis Cup spent together...Now they will just part ways, after several years of tempestous love and two beautiful babies.
Congrats to the Israeli team, who would of thought?! Certainly not the Russians....
Methinks somebody should of dug out Tursunov from wherever he is lately or something...and maybe none of this would of happened....
Chin up, tavarisci, at least you are still handsome and those fit, energetic, focused Israelis can't take that away from you!

Tursunov is injured so he could have been much help. Very poor display this weekend. The team is surely not in the best of conditions right now. Too bad it finished so badly for Marat... If you ask me, all results this weekend were rather unexpected Czech Republic beat Argentina 3-2 Croatia def United States 3-2 and Juan Carlos Ferrero clinched the winning point for Spain against Germany 3-2
