he played good very decent; very good serving! never faced BP! he kept the head as usual in DC! though I only saw the two last sets! first rubbers are always tough to handle anyways; so I believe he did very well!

Romanians spring surprise Marius Copil and Horia Tecau produced a surprise victory over Marat Safin and Dmitry Tursunov to keep Romanian Davis Cup hopes alive.
Davis cup debutant Copil and Tecau bounced back from losing the first two sets to their vastly more-experienced opponents to record a 46 67(2) 76(4) 76(5) 64.
Tomorrow, Safin will again try to wrap up victory for Russia when he takes on Victor Hanescu in Sunday’s first rubber
I guess Marat was in today to seal the victory but was unable to do - atleast Marat got an extra 4 hours of matchplay - but will it affect him tommorow against Hanescu -we wait and see
COME ON RUSSKI!!!!!!!

The good thing about today's loss - Marat will almost certainly play tomorrow (with Russia being in the next round I doubt he would've played his final rubber). The commentator was the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. For the duration of the match, he called Romanian player Ticau by the name of Hanescu and he never came up with the name of the other guy (Marius Copil, you moron!!!). And to think he got paid for that... I'm not so sure about Marat playing tomorrow - Tursunov was the better player today and I won't be surprised if Tarpi would replace Marat with him in tomorrow's tie against Hanescu. And yes, I also was so annoyed by the commentator not being able to figure out until the end of a 5 setter! that it's not Hanescu playing in the doubles, but whatever... I found the doubles match the most untertaining so far: Marat - Crivoi was rather boring, Youzhny- Hanescu was sadly one-sided - Youzhny played really well, I'm happy for him since he's had rather bad results recently, so it was good to see him playing well again. Today, I think Tecau was serving really really well - Marat was standing so far behind the baseline to receive his serve and did not actually returned many of his serves anyway. Also, I think Marius Copil played a very good match today, for a 18 year old who played his first DC match, this was good stuff - well done to my young countryman .

Second GB rubber yesterday, lost 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-4 Was too cheesed off to post result. Third rubber today, GB lost 6-4 3-6 6-3 5-7 6-4 Well done to our boys though, a good fighting spirit. And well done to the crowd, a noisy support that lifted the team. Think we may get DC back in Braehead again. ;D Refreshing to see a team that were doing their best to prove the doubters wrong. They may not have won, but they were a delight to watch and were a reminder that there is talent there to be nurtured. Chin up boys. You fought well. Dendy and I will be spending tomorrow morning in front of a laptop shouting for the Big Yin. Get it done in straight sets Big Yin. Braehead still beckons for us. I don't want to be watching a 5-setter. 4 buckets of fairy dust sent first class this morning - will be with you by midnight tonight. Inhale. FG
