thanks tita for all the great pics safin shirtless! couldnt ask for more ;D hehe, I felt so lucky for catching him like that right the first time I saw him eheh ;D pic 12 its awsome! thanks so much! LOL I knew I had to post that one, even though you can't see Dmitry's face - the rest makes up for it innit?! ;D i agree with giselle - pic 12 is great!!! ;D thanks so much tita for all the photos!!! tita - thank you so much!!! No probs. Tita!!! Wow! How brilliant ... to see the smile in real life would be enough for me LOL ... thx for your report & pics Indeed, that smile is something I tell ya It's different to see it in pics and for real, woah! Hi Tita, I am so happy you got to see the Man. Hey don't feel too let down. . Remember we don't really 'know' these people and yet we see them on TV, in magazines and read about them all the time and we tend to make up our own version of their personality. Most of the time, people can never live up to our expectations!! . It sounds like Marat and Dima are having a ball of a time and they seem to be acting like real 'boys'. Goodluck to them! Hope you do get back there next year. Checking out the photos it looks like lovely weather, I might even try to get there next year . Thanks for posting all the photos Thank you so much for those words avalon. I haven't given up on him yet. Next year, next year! And oh yeah, the weather is great here, absolutely lovely to watch and play some tennis and enjoy yaself. But erm, don't do like me and bring some sun protector cream and sunglasses and hat. I look like a shrimp! Thanks a lot TITA !!!!!!!!!!!!! Tita Tita Tita thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great report, amazing pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tita thank you so much!!!!great pictures!!! Thanks for the pictures Tita!!!!!! Tita, thanks for the report and all the pics. ;D No problem, at all. My pleasure! Glad you all like 'em!! but when the crowd cheered for him and yelled his name, he had such a cocky smile on his face and turned to Tursunov and said sth like 'they love me, I'm so hot, they can't resist me'. I expected him to be a little more humble.. LMAO thanks Tita!!! I'm pretty sure you got him wrong , he was just ironical not arrogant. You shouldn't take it seriously. Mitya and Marat always tease and dig at each other, so it was the act, the part of their 'game' But Marat really SHOULD have signed for the kids!! I was there lol. I tried to make myself believe I got it wrong the first time but then when he entered the court with Tursunov confirmed it. I even turned to Happiness and said "Damn it, why is he arrogant TODAY? aww". I do believe it was only a day thing and he was feeling a lil' too macho for his own sake. Must have been 'cause of the heat! ahah No probs, and thx for your pics too! LOLOL That blog is amazing btw!! Thanks for posting!! ;D

Thank you all for the pictures / articles / audios!!! They're gorgeous ;D I just hope Marat didn't hear he was the favorite, 'cause he often has problems when he is ;D And Tita, I think because he was with Mitya he was so arrogant: men always tend to seem strong in front of friends ^^ ! And well, if he didn't sign, it's not kind of him, but I can understand that he cannot sign autographs during all the day!!! And on the blog, Mitya said he kept signing ^^ !
See you in the matches discussion thread 'cause the match has just begun: DAVAAAAAAAAAAI MARAT !!!

excerpt :
Wednesday, May 3, 2006
All Sony Ericsson WTA Tour tournaments provide the players with transport. The Estoril Open is combined with the men so the official car is Mercedes, being the ATP sponsor. The drivers here are young men and women so the half hour journey to and from the hotel allows time for a bit of flirting to be practiced.
Last night when leaving the courts, I was joined by six players and coaches all from different countries in a Mercedes mini van. The front seat was occupied with one of the most colorful and flirtiest players on the men’s tour, and from the moment the doors were slammed shut he rarely drew breath chatting up the driver. Obviously flattered by the attention or buzzing with adrenalin, the female Michael Schumacher seemed to forget she was driving a mini van in peak hour and not a two-seater race car on a track. Oblivious to the fact that there were any other passengers in the van, she swerved around the winding coast road at 150kph while four different languages all expressed concern for their lives and the giggles continued in the front. I survived the hell-raising ride and learnt another valuable lesson - to always push to the front and take ownership of the front seat as at least then I can jump out if things go horribly bad. Oh yeah, and I don’t mind controlling the radio either.
