Sorry I'm so late. Busy with work. I barely made it home for the match. Phew! Peya played really well in the 1st set. Marat wasted 4 BPs on Peya's serve and also 3 matchpoints on TB (lost 2 points serving it out), took the TB finally 7-5. What a relief! Could've become tricky.... Marat held his serves pretty convincingly though, no BPs on his serve. At the beginning of the 2nd set Peya twisted his ankle. He got it taped but then lost his serve and retired, obvioulsy too difficult to move. Marat's return game could have been better but then again Peya was playing really well until the injury. Bernardes was umpiring again. That's all for now. C'ya tomorrow... hopefully!

And the correct result for those who are interested:
Results - Wednesday, October 27, 2004 Singles - First Round (1)M Safin (RUS) d (Q)A Peya (AUT) 76(5) 31 (ret. right ankle)
He retired in Marat's service game, Marat didn't finish it. Funny - some sites give the result as 4-1 ret, whatever.
