I can't believe how cheap the organizers went in St. Petersburg... I mean no live video or even a scoreboard... that sucks. I don't agree with some of you thinking that playing doubles is a mistake.. In this case he needs to get used to the surface, the balls and environment in general. No matter how much you practice (and Marat didn't have time to practice) it is very difficult to replicate actual match atmosphere... Vass, you were saying that playing in St. Petersburg is a mistake but this is his only second chance to play in front of the home-crowd. Besides Moscow gets all the attention in tennis including davis cups, fed cups while St. Peter's fans only can get to see Marat once in a year... so I think it is a very good and respectful move from Marat. Look at Federer who played in Gstaad (clay) right after he won Wimbledon twice in a row.. that is a hell of a commitment. Too bad Fed got injured playing in his home-town tourney in Basel today.... He even might not play Masters cup in Houston this year....

Thanks Vlad! Yes, Marat would never miss an ATP tourney in Russia, he is not that kind of a guy. Besides he seems to like St. Petersburg too although Moscow is No. 1 for him. And talking about pressure&Federer - you see even the best have such a huge pressure to win at home that Fedex tore his thigh muscle at the practice just before the tournament start. He wanted to win his home tourney a bit TOO much... It would be really sad if he'd have to miss Houston but there's still hope he can make it.

Vlad, the site has a scoreboard, and has a video too. But the links only appear when matches are on progress. So when there isn't any player on court you can't see any link on the homepage.

Yes it works Damita, the SB at least (I have not tried the video thingy but will later) Thank you very much for this info, much appreciated.
