have gaudio and coria been playin recently or r they going to play.becoz last i heard that gaudio was injured. if this is true if marat keeps playin well he has a good chance of makin it to houston. gaudio has a slender lead over marat in the champions race. Ashitha, Gaudio goes to Houston no matter what because he won a Grand Slam RG. Marat needs to get enough points, I think, to pass Henman and then he may be okay, but then again when it comes down to the crunch they do all sort of calculations .............. not sure how.........to actually work out the final 8. Someone who understands the system better will be able to explain better. But it is looking like he may have a chance, so hopefully he will be be able to pull it off and we will go to Houston with Marat ;D

Federer is such an awesome player that its difficult to meet his standard consistently. Wonder what the result would have been had Safin been in the final? Mart can never lose 6-0 if he's playing well. He can only lose 6-0 if he's playing out-right terrible. I'd say it would have been atleast 6-3. 6-3 6-4. Perhaps 7-6 6-3 loss.

It is very likely that Marat is going to make it to Houston. 1. Coria might pull out because of shoulder operation healing process.. So, that makes it top 9 players including Marat and Andre, who is right behind him.
2. Gaudio's ranking doesn't matter at this point because HE IS already qualified.. He needs to be in top 20 to qualify because he is a GS winner...
3. As long as Marat stays ahead of Andre he is 100% in. Andre is going to play limited schedule anyway, and if Coria will confirm his pull-out of Houston which he did I think, then Marat should not worry at all and just play his tennis with now pressure in the upcoming tournaments..

MariaV, I think he's quite disappointed with the result but he walked away clamly. Unlike Andy yesterday, he's furious and upset. At least, Marat did his best job, but Andy didn't.
Bad news, I've just read from Coria's official website, he starts practicing now, and really wants to join the Master Cup. So Marat have to beat Andre for ticket to Houston.

Thanks Jasmine, it was encouraging to hear that he could get himself together after such a narrow and disappointing loss, smile and be nice to his fans. Of course he was disappointed with the loss but good that he didn't show it as badly as Andy, that gives hope for the future and regarding his mental side and what Peter has been able to do! I so hope Peter can help him the way he helped Fedex!

HEY EVERYONE. .. Long time no see *gives everyone a big hug* I'm off at the moment with school holidays and *you know* i haven't had time to post anything lately.... When I was reading up about the Thailand Open I was like... omg Marat made it to the Semi's ... YAY Then, when I saw the score that he lost to Roddick with...I was like...What the??? All 3 were tie-breaks.... YEESH... At least Marat won one tie-break to NIL... YAY!!! But then to see that Federer basically walked ALL OVER Roddick was a disappointment because I KNOW that Marat would have been so much more pumped up than Andy due to his motivation... but AHH WELL At least he has gained some more WELL EARNED points for Houston... the ultimate prize.... Nice to hear from all you guys.,... it's been a while.. maybe too long..... i'll be hanging around for a while now with the season getting closer to the end I'm about to start my last year of High School over here and I'm like HOW TIME FLIES.... Im gonna be in Uni in like less than 1 year... AHHHHH!!!!!! Anyways... catch ya later... Always, Chiro
