OMG I just saw the russian team what hats..... I did not see Marat  but have it on tape so will look again Saw Youzhny and he did not have on the hat thank god!! he was so excited..... Saw Moya, JC, Nalbandian, Roger he carried his country' s flag. They all looked liked they were having fun and really enjoying the moment. I am so happy Marat is there, I am sure he is having fun ;D I cant believe we got it live, and no commercials, none it was great. Its incredible that the US dont show it until tonight and its taped.......  in this day and age u would lthink they would show it live Maybe Marat refused to wear that white suit and hat dunno  |

I was watching openr ceremony , but i don;t know did i saw Marat , is he was a guy which start to play his mobile phon inside the russian team when tv show a girls team of russia?? Maybe somebody saw him ?? So when, where ?? How he looking??  |

I'm watching it tongiht (since I'm in the US) and when do they show all the tennis players? When they're with their country or... Marat was probably off drinking in a pub you know how he doesn't like the Olympics. |

Ivy, the tennis players are with all the other athletes from their country. I saw Youzhny but didn't see Marat. I guess he's somewhere among them (why would he be somewhere else?!) but it's really hard to find one particular person among the others  Saw Federer and Srichaphan of course, Nalbandian, Moya and Ferrero (looking good ;D), and for the girls Venus Williams, Eleni Daniilidou, Amelie Mauresmo, Nathalie Dechy, and Sandrine Testud i think. |

Patri I think u are right, and you know................ play with mobile phon, inside the russian team when tv show russian girls..........yep....I would be inclined to think that was Marat ;D  Damita>> that right its hard, I have it on tape and like someone else said I am going to watch it again 2morrow and see if I see him. I am going to tape the NBC one tonight (the USA) one and maybe they will show something different.......I hope too  |

I agree, Ihope by tomorrow we will hear something positive.
True true......but I think he is going to have one hell of a fun time, so I think he will stick around and make the most it ;D
I dont think he is too unhappy right now, he can get by without a coach, but for some one to reign him in and keep him under control............well thats impossible coach or no coach ;D
And yes, I really hope it works out well for the russian team and that they do well

HEY!!!! if anyone manages to spot marat, could u pretty please take a screen cap? cos i don't think i'll be able to watch te repeat telecast.
as for no commercial breaks... teresa u lucky thing... they broke up the march in with commercial breaks and i was so pissed everytime they did that. thankfully, the russian team was ojnly a few contingetns b4 the singapore team so they didn't dare put a commercial break ard that period of time...hahah.

But where is Marat??!! I saw on the french tv the opening ceremony.....but no Marat! I saw a lot of players...including Andreev ,Anatoly ( ;D)and Youhzny...who was so cute with his beret! ;D It's a pity that i didn't see Marat (if he was realy here?)...with a beret! ;D ;D Now i will say GOOD LUCK to all the atheletes....especialy Marat... |

I was watching from the US on NBC (tape delay) and right before the Russian team walked out, the network cut to a commercial break. I thought I was going to die. But luckily, they came back right and showed the Olympic team...but no Marat.  |
