Marat's career record at Roland Garros is 24W-9L

Marat I believe is very close to finding his best form, judging from his match against berdych. If he can just avoid the brain cramps (that's what happened against Moya) and stays focused during the match, he could advance far in the draw. I think the five set format is good for Marat. Hopefully he doesnt' get too tough a draw in the early rounds. Best of luck Marat. Make history....

oh no. He has a very tough second round match. he faces davydenko. If he gets past the 2nd round however, he has relatively easy potential opponents uptil the quarterfinal stage. Go Marat!

yes, but if he gets past the second round, he has an easy draw. much easier than the Australian Open, where he had so many tough opponents throughout the draw.

It always amazes me people how surprised and upset everyone gets with difficult draws he gets all the time. What do you expect guys??? He is not a top 10 player anymore, not even top 50 to have easy starting matches. He put himself in a tough situation with rankings so life is never easy these days
