he loks so fit. i hvn't seen him in a while and i assumed that he's putting on weight. cos in the past when he just came ack from knee injury, he looked soo big and heavy on court. Good on him Well, he didn't have any injury this time around. In his absence/the off season he has been working out and practicing hard...and he lost 5kgs(?) during the process....hence the toned body and much pronounced muscles.

Im going to the Australian Open tomorrow with a friend. I only got tickets for tomorrow only bought the vodofone arena/ ground pass ticket and lucky for me he is playing tomorrow! it looks like marat will play on a show court,i like those better. we got tickets next to the media for vodofone so they are pretty good seats. they sold fast this year, i got minein october the first day they went on sale. I hope the weather is better coz last year i went and only got to see 1 and a half matches because of extreme heat but its only due for 34 degrees here so it should be ok. Is anyone else here going tomorrow? i will check where marat is playing and when and post back.

No, not last...there's a women's match after his match. Approximately what time do you think he'll be playing anyhow? i assumed around 5 or 6pm melbourne time, is that a safe bet?

Lets hope it is around 5-6 that he starts otherwise I will miss out . Have evening tickets for Rod Laver. I don't know why they put him on an outside court mid afternoon . Even though he is ranked 57 he still pulls a huge crowd and deserves Rod Laver or at least Vodafone. You don't see Roger on an outside court
Joseph take Jarko to 5 sets and Sofia take it up to Marion to get at least 3 sets in.That way I may just make it to see some of Marat's match ;D ;D ;D
Just an observation. When Marat lost to Andy at Kooyong he had the red CK's on. When he played Fernando he had the blue. Word of advise tomorrow Marat WEAR THE WINNING BLUE CK'S

He needed to wash the blue one so he can wear it for the next round, that's why he wore the red one. LOL

they waste no time getting the drama started .... and day 1 is still going on! (Rafa in set 2 of his match) 7 5-setters for Moya - lost tough 4-setter to Koubek yay for Misha, Igor, Evengy, Mardy, Andy R., and Richard yay and woot for mom Lindsay (2nd round v Sharapova) big WOAH for Tsonga taking out Murray -- would've been fun to see more of that and the winner of the messy-match-that-would-never-end: Jankovic/Paszek ... some good stuff to look forward to on day 2 .... and Go Marat!

What a night. God knows how I'll be able to get up on Thursday morning for work. Pat on the back to Tsonga - he deserved the win. The first 2 sets he served wide and came in to the net - repeatedly. Andy didn't change the game plan until the third set. But credit to Tsonga, he hung in there after that third set bagel. Back to the drawing board for you young man! Rafa just finished his match in the last hour. Can't say I'd like to be playing a match so late at night. Haven't seen the order of play for tonight/tomorrow yet, but Denise told me that the Big Yin is on court 2. Being a technological dunce, I have no idea how I'm going to watch it if it ain't shown on SKY. Whatever happened to the option of watching several courts on Eurosport? Anyway, best of luck to the Big Yin. Drink yer milk and get volleying - and if it's windy, hit the ball flat and keep it in. Keep the first serve consistent, be aggressive - and remember yer fairy's top coaching tip, 'don't do anything daft'!

In this right moment I'm loving Tsonga! lol and I'm really happy for Korolev!(my favourite player after Marat) Lets hope it is around 5-6 that he starts otherwise I will miss out Me too! Otherwise I will miss the game too(but unfortunetly I'm not in Australia )! I'm praying to Tipsarevic's match take a lot of hours and Bartoli too! So that my sister call me and say, Su wake up, Marat is playing! And another good thing is that I'll miss classes! ;D But, the most important thing is that Marat win his match! I really don't care if I'm going to watch or not! the victory is what matter! Good luck Marat! I just can hope for the best!!

woot woot Marat!! ;D only day 2 and the time difference may kill me -- may have to sleep for a week after this is over ... decided to check the scores, see where things are at (at a little after 3 am here), before retiring to bed ... kinda scared to check on Marat's match ..... but pleasantly surprised to see 60 64 and a good start to set 3 ... woke me right up! ;D .... nice to see him bagel someone instead of he being the one bageled .... and then commentators showed a bit of the match! they commented on how he was moving well -- and they were surprised it was packed ?! *snort* ... of course while they show it is when he loses the break -- ack ... and then they went to previewing Venus -- got to see a couple other short bits, including the win (they were just teasing with clips of Marat -- how rude). -- but nice to see him playing again Marat v Marcos should be pretty exciting other musings of Day 2: *Lleyton bageling Darcis twice - wow *kinda suprised JCF rolled past Kiefer easily *bummer for Isner .... Ljubicic out - woah *Battle of the Pesky Players : Stepanek v Spadea ... would have been interesting to see part of that (still going on -- start of a 5th set) *shame nothing shown of Malisse/Dmitry (which is still going on) *Istomin/Lacko -- been a while since their was a match-up where I didn't know either name Day 3 Preview: Maria/Lindsay - night match Doubles Start! - Bob/Mike, Karlovic/Isner (just to see that image, lol), Dmitry/Igor K (v Erlich/Ram)
