Hmmm i read that the Russia v Serbia tie is on hard court - to be fair i dont think it surface would make much difference as Novak is equally capable on all types. Possibly thinking about Tipsarevic. I think the doubles will be crucial in this tie as Nenad Zimonjic is one of the best so this tie will be closely fought. Cant Wait.
P.S Shame about Great Britain- we couldnt have got any worse a tie - we shouldn't bother going!

Tennis-Russia recall Safin for Davis Cup tie v Serbia MOSCOW, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Russia have recalled Marat Safin for next month's Davis Cup first-round tie against World Group newcomers Serbia.
Former world number one Safin skipped last year's final against the United States in Portland after struggling to find his top form since coming back from a knee injury.
"He's definitely in the team," Shamil Tarpishchev, who doubles as his country's Davis and Fed Cup captain, told Reuters on Monday from Israel, where the Russian women play the home side in the first round of the Fed Cup this weekend.
Joining Safin for the Feb. 8-10 clash at Moscow's Luzhniki arena are world number four Nikolay Davydenko, Dmitry Tursunov and Mikhail Youzhny, who has moved to a career-high eighth in the rankings after reaching the Australian Open quarter-finals.
Russia, who have won the cup twice since 2002 and reached last year's final, face a stern test against Serbia, led by newly-crowned Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic.
"It's definitely won't be a walk in the park for us as the Serbs have two Australian Open champions in their team," said Tarpishchev in reference to Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic, who won the mixed doubles title in Melbourne.

Serbia? Brill. ;D Should bring on some challenging matches! Great to see that the Big Yin has been recalled. That new 'positive and aggressive (at the right times) outlook ' has no doubt been recognised. Focus + fairy dust are a lethal combination in the tennis spectrum. ;D Think I may ask for some of my flexi time for a day off next Friday ... ;D PS Got one stricken ticket for Liverpool last week. Where's my other two for Fri and Sat? If the Royal Mail has struck again ...
