I'm reading "Crime and Punishment" by Fiodor Dostoievski, did you already any of his books? What you think about it? I'm asking because my dad loves his books, my teacher says that never endend a book because Dostoievski is too depressing and sister couldn't read Crime and Punishment but she is liking to read "The Gambler"!
I'm liking "Crime and Punishm ent" and I loved "The Gambler", I disagree with my teacher, I don't think he's depressing, to tell you the truth, I think he's "funny" I almays laughing with his descriptions!
Well, my favourite writer is Brett Easton Ellis, and I eat his books, always expecting for his books to come to the book stores! And my favourite book, I think it American Psycho, by B.E.Ellis!

I´ve been reading a book of real stories of the Patagonia, of the time when the Patagonia was somehow like the north america´s wild west...., but I´ve been lazy with my reading... I think I need to take the TV out of my room. I plan on reading Pride and Prejudice..., I don´t know..., I guess I´m in the mood for a good old fashion romantic novel LOL But the truth is that in the last couple of years I´ve been reading quite a lot, but I failed to find one of those books that really blows my mind.

I'm still plodding on with Rudy. I'm only about halfway through - it's around 700 pages in total. Work keeps intruding on my reading time - I've been getting home about 8pm most nights lately. I've also started (again, actually) Charles Dickens' 'Bleak House'. Have to say, from what I've read so far on Rudy, thoroughly recommend this book as a biography. It's very revealing about Nureyev as a person, but certainly evocates the era that he was 'a star'. Very good read and very well written. ;D

finally finished Wicked ... was good -- took me a bit to get into it -- took forever with other things going on, and other short, quick reads in between .... probably have to go back and read it again in the future to really get everything ... it's so weird though thinking about The Wizard of Oz knowing another side to the story -- you see the Witch totally differently got a quick, fun read from the library that I finished today -- Mr. Monk and the Blue Flu -- if any one is at all vaguely familiar with the TV show Monk -- the author wrote for the show and has written a few novels based on the characters -- it's funny, and I can totally picture everything, and all the characters, having watched the show now I'm tackling the first Harry Potter book -- in German! ;D Having read the series in English numerous times I know the story so I can figure it out pretty good that way (although it helps too having studied German so there's a lot of vocab I do know/remember). Figured it'd be good practice to refresh my memory. At any rate, I'm totally loving it!

book update *still working on HP in German -- can only do a few pages at a time *finally got to read James Blake's book Breaking Back -- even though I heard the story about his trials ad naseum from tv commentators, getting so many more details from his perspective puts a whole new side to it -- look at him differently now, crazy how much he went through *read Marley & Me by John Grogan -- such a spectacular book! Story about a family with a crazy dog ... laugh out loud at several points, tears at others -- great story. (they're also starting to film the movie version with Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston -- potential to be pretty good) *starting to read Schulz & Peanuts -- biography of Charles Schulz, cartoonist of the comic Peanuts -- it's massive ... even in just the first couple chapters, interesting to see how much of his own life he really included in the comic strips

Nearly there with Rudy - but I keep dipping in to other books now as well. Started a book 'how television is killing us' - bought it from an eco friendly website. Loads of books available that make you really, really think about how we're f***ing up this planet, big style. This book presents the case about how tv is actually having a physical effect on our lives, particularly young children and the damage it is doing to society in general Brill read. Jenhatter - read 'Marley and me' last year. I had to put off reading the last few chapters for a few weeks as I was choking so much. Finished the book with the tears streaming down my face. Absolutely hysterical incidents throughout the book ... but the gut-wrencher at the end when Marley heads off to doggy heaven (sorry guys for giving the end away ... but you know it's coming when you see the photos in the bookjacket ... Marley from puppy to grand old retriever. He was gorgeous. If I ever get a dog (which I hope to when I eventually retire ... several dogs actually) I want a Marley. He was one damned fine doggy. And completely barking!!!

I was absolutely sobbing at the end too ... and my heart ached to see how hard it was getting for him to move around and up and down stairs, but he still did it anyway (makes me think of my aunt and uncle's golden retriever who is getting up in age) ... but several crazy incidents had me bursting out laughing and shaking my head -- still shake my head thinking about it now ... and I just adored the love, care and dedication he showed his family -- it was so sweet. Definitely is on my instant-favorite list.

Comrade Pavlik; Rise and Fall of a Soviet Boy Hero by Catriona Kelly.
I was just walking around the mall four days ago...saw a newly opened un-used, never-bought old book sale store, and went in...strolled around and i saw it...got interested so bought it for 20% of the original price...i'm on chapter four now.
Oh yeah, i also saw a book..Competitive Tennis for Children...scanned through the pages and there were several pictures of Marat in it..it just speaks about how "WELL" he was built for the tennis.

LMAO. ;D I've been dusting my wings for Wimbles. With any luck, I can fly over the queue in the morning and get in the grounds without anyone noticing. I'll try it out at Liverpool.
If you read about some fat fairy getting nicked by the police, that's me!!! ;D Bail me out girls!
