I hate it when people come ringing your doorbell at 7AM on a SUNDAY only to tell me, when I open the door, that they got the wrong address!! I haven't been able to go back to sleep and that was two hours ago  |

i hate when anyone makes a mess in my room. i only have time to clean it once a week and i hate it when it's messy. also when people come into my room when i'm not in it, and next thing you know something's broken...like the AC just now.

I just hate mess. Fullstop. I'll never go to bed when I know there are dirty dishes in the sink or if there are clothes scattered all over the apartment which hubby does regularly  It really bugs me when things are untidy at home. At the same time if you saw my work desk - you would totally go  coz it's always a terrible mess no matter how much I clean it LOL |

I dont know if it can be called annoying, but kind of frustrating........................ It is sooooooooooooo hard to explain people that you dont need their service! well, i mean in a nice and polite way! I am a vegeterian! And seriously, I havent been eating red meat for 20 year! (i am 24) ....... Was dining with my friend's parents in a small cafe in Melbourne, my friend is Greek, for sure, they are heavy meat eaters!!!!!!!!! I dont mind, its not my bussiness! When her Dad handed to me a big piece of BBQ beef, which is only half cooked, my face turned blue, i was scared, feeling that my stomach is throwing out. So i explained them nicely that I am vergeterian, They dont get the idea what Vegeterian is----means i dont eat meat!!!!!!!!!!! Her Dad kept insisting me to eat that '' big beautiful piece'' of beef, I was kindly saying I couldnt and i dont like it, b/c i havnet eat them for 20 yrs! He tiped I was being modest and embaranced, and leave the blood dripping beef in my dish.... my whole smotach is kind of throwing out...yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! i am vomiting! so i excused myself to the bathroom.... i felt a bit better after some fresh air..... the worst thing is: Her Dad has never talk to me again since then.......... SHe is a great friend, and her parents are absolutely nice people, only i wished i could eat the blood dripping beef....... so basically i lost a friend, due to..... the stupid beef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so hard .......................................................... "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T EAT NO MEAT" My best friend is vegetarian, shes 25, all her life shes been one until one day she decided to try chicken, it was hilarious and also tried shrimp. So we aways have trouble going places cause she can't find anything to eat, and she doesn't like salads, so I go "wth! ur a vegetarian who doesn't eat veggies?" I have never seen that! or then she goes "oh i dunno what to eat" I say " well we're in Florida and ur a tall girl, get a palm tree and chew it" I just nag her cause she has a funny reaction is one of those people that I like to bother just to TEST them je je! I think its cool being one, i couldn't do it cause I love meat and have greek friends who love meat even more! I guess sometimes people have a hard time understanding things....Don't sweat it |

Oh by that way my Greek friend met with the veggie friend and said the same thing "what do you mean she doesn't eat meat" I was on the floor with my sister laughing our hearts out!

I just hate mess. Fullstop. I'll never go to bed when I know there are dirty dishes in the sink or if there are clothes scattered all over the apartment which hubby does regularly It really bugs me when things are untidy at home. At the same time if you saw my work desk - you would totally go coz it's always a terrible mess no matter how much I clean it LOL hey i am the same annie i am a clean freak but my work desk is a complete mess.....BUT it is a sign of really clever people appparently. what work do you do?? I am a micriobiologist...(studying diseases' )they say that a messy desk means that you are working really hard and the ONLY people who have clean and tidy desks are admin staff!!!!! They have neat piles of work, all their staionary is in a nice pot and never chewed (not like mine)and lost of post stick notes with things they have to do.....next time you go to your admin offices check it out and see how neat it is!!!!  (Respect to the admin crews around the world!!!) |

I guess I must be really clever then right now I have 2 computers on my desk, 3 piles of papers (sheets, lists and folders), books, 2 calc machines (one broke,one working), a mobile phone, assorted pens and pencils, staples (2 sizes), portable drives, stick tape, tubes of glue, several clips, my glasses & glass cases, note books, agendas, assorted post its, a pedometer (went walking this morning), a old mouse, a broken clock, a ruler... the mess is endless ;D That is at work! At home I like cleanliness but tidyness isn't my forte and what bugs me is when my mom comes and starts ranting about how scattered things are around the house They might be scattered but I know where everything is! |

Same here .... and I'm particularly picky about my stuff and my space - how's it organized, where everything's place is - I don't mind people using my stuff, but to use it and not put it back - bugs me to no end. And, I'm a pretty big routine person, and an on-time person. ....... I'm sounding quite obessive about things , which I am a bit about certain things, but that doesn't mean I'm not flexible or can't be spontaneous (plenty of examples for both, haha) ..... I blame these ramblings on late night boredom ;D |

LOL I know what you mean Jen. Hubby always tells me I am totally insane (not that it's not true LOL). But when he asks me things like "Have we got any sour cream?" and I reply "Fridge. Middle shelf. On the left at the back" he goes But this is why I like it. I always know where things are because this is where I put them. And I always beg him to try and put things back where he took them from. Because then when I am in the middle of a cooking spree and I need something out of the fridge FAST and it's not where I had put it, I start going mad and it's really inconvenient I guess we are nutcases after all LMAO ;D |

i think i'm insane one coz i hate messing around, everything has to be tied organized and clean!oh gosh if it's not clean! i can't sleep and let the dishes dirty or an empty coke bottle on a table or even a jacket somewhere else than the cupboard! i'm just nuts about all of it! that's why it's good for me to live on my own and that's why i'll probably never get married!

but on a completely different vein...
I just got the offer of a life time for my job, seriously amazing, except it means i have to drop everything (study, friends, family) and move to hong kong indefinately.
Now i love hong kong, im there quite a bit atm, so my agency thought it would be better for me to be based over there indefinately to make it easier. But as much as it would be the best thing to do for me career wise it would mean a huge change and leaving all of the things that i love behind...
My boyfriends travels alot anyway and he supports my move but im still not sure...
anyone have any thoughts??
should i stay home finish my degree and go down a completely different career path but still surrounded by my family and friends
OR
go to hong kong for a while, better my career more than i could ever hope, see all my friends on holidays but potentially have a much shorter working life???
my friends say they'd be happy whatever i do but im still undecided
VERYYYY CONFUSSSEDDDD
has anyone moved for a job before and have any advice for clueless old me right now??

well, the decision is still yours...but, if you ask me,, if i were you...I'm gonna try that stint in HK for a while, see if i like it. like you said,it's the offer of a liftime...if you decide you don't like it, you can always go back to everything you left...

well sweety i'm a bit in your case coz i've left all my family and friends to follow studies here in Paris in an intention to move to NY to go on and be a surgeon!i've left becoz of personnal choice and i wanted to put some space between me and them just to feel free!i'm a special case but i assure that i really did it to achieve my dreams(i already explained it on the "let's talk about ourselves"thread)!all i say don't do smthg you could regret!try you won't lose much! if ya like HK you'll decide then and if ya don't you can always go back and go on!
