Thank you, Annie It´s just a bit confusing, when someone is written Elena, but pronounced Jelena, especially because, ther´re also some Jelenas in Russia, that are written Jelena I know hun...but since we're born with Russian names, we write them the same in Russian but in English, everyone chooses for him/herself, so it gets confusing at times

hello everybody!! i think its very interesting to learn about russia. I'm new to this part of the site but so far I have like it sooo much. I don't think I will ever master russian, but i will try. My question for the "russian expert" is: how is life in russia, like nightclubs and young life there...I live in US, here the legal age is 21 I'm 19 but since I'm colombian I always find a way to smuggle myself into clubs je je!! another thing is the economy can a young person survive by themselves, here in US u can, I pay for my car, my rent, my food my school (i wish my parents will do that)...maybe thats why kids leave parents soo early because they don't need the economic support. So i was wondering how things work out over there and also is the college education expensive, do you need a car? Sorry for the amount of questions, it just so interesting to learn about russia. Thanks!

Giselle I promise to answer you very soon, just that it's gonna be a long answer and I need some time..sorry I am taking a while but just busy busy...will post soon I promise alsl 1. Red hair is not VERY common in Russia but there are red-heads here, just as anywhere 2. I'd say the most popular singer in Russia is Alla Pugacheva. But she is more preferred by an older generation. 3. "Ne razgovArivay tak s gOstyem" ;D good luck alsl!!!!!!!!!!!!
