Just out of Interest, i was watching some highlights from St Petersburg and the commentator kept referring to St petersburg being the 2nd city ( i presume he means in russia). Is that right and is there a reason for this

Just out of Interest, i was watching some highlights from St Petersburg and the commentator kept referring to St petersburg being the 2nd city ( i presume he means in russia). Is that right and is there a reason for this Well St. Petersburg in the old times used to be the capital of Russia. Then the capital was moved to Moscow for many reasons cultural and political and now St. Petersburg is considered to be the second largest and important city in Russia. Hence the comments probably ;D Re: weather. You wouldn't believe this. Yesterday it snowed from 9am till 3pm non-stop...LOADS of snow. Then at around 9pm RAIN STARTED POURING!!!!!! Kept going all night and now there's no snow left whatsoever....crazy weather
