well, I already saw someone from the netherlands, but I decided to post a message: I'm also from the 'randstad' I live in Katwijk a small village right above The Hague. I live in front of the beach and the Northsea, which is great! Esp. in the summer. I have clogs at home..I'm not a farmer (LOL) but it's something I really wanted to have. Amsterdam is a great place, I've been there like a billion times. I love the netherlands, but I do want to live abroad for a few years. (maybe the states)

Hi! I'm from Illinois, Illinois is a coal mining land (the southern part of it) and has a major city in it, Chicago! I live near Chicago. I'm Chinese and have grandparents that live in HK and have apartments all over China, so if I see any of you I'll say hi! I've never been to Beijing. -Ivy

Hi everyone! I am from Uruguay, a country in South América, between Argentina and Brasil. Our official language is spanish. The population is about three and a half millons. The capital city is Montevideo, where half of the population live. It is a nice place to live, we have a beautiful cost on the Atlantic ocean ( or the Río de la Plata), so you can go to the beach or you can walk in the "Rambla" . One of the most known places to go on holidays in Uruguay is "Punta del Este", it is a great city where you have very beautiful beaches to enjoy during the day and a lot of places to go dancing at nights, and drink something until the sun comes up the next day. What else can I say! It is a great place to live.

So I live in the Netherlands… often called Holland though. 16 million people on a piece of land of which most of it is below sealevel.. Some people think they know all about our little country, some people never even heard of it. I’ve once heard on a television show that some foreigners really thought that Holland was the capital of Amsterdam. But I can assure you it’s the opposite! Like me told you, there are a whole lot of typical Dutch things… at least, things that others think of as typical Dutch. Not all of them are true or will be found on a regular basis, but to name a couple of things: we’ve got windmills, wooden shoes, tulips, drugs, cheese, canals, ice skating, getting only one cookie with your coffee, both pay half when out on a date and last but definitely not least our premier looks like harry potter!! For sure.. you’ve got to see ‘m ;D eeehh..what else can I say.. I like it here.. but I'm sure I would have liked it somewhere else too when I was born there.. Sometimes I wish it was a little bit warmer here though.. you know.. but ey.. with the global heathing thingy going on, I'm sure that will happen in a few years.. ;)Caroline

an advantage of Global Warming is that it'll become warmer here, for sure, but with our country being below sealevel and with the icecaps melting, our country will probably flood too, it's kinda hard to enjoy the heat when you're busy swimming and trying not to drown. -xxx-jes me

Don't get me wrong I like to swim, but not if it's the only way to survive. Even the best things in the world are only fun for so long And besides, Jiat is against the whole Global Warming thing too, and this is a democracy, so far it's two against one, so NO GLOBAL WARMING ;D Sorry Caroline, I guess you'll have to live without the extra heat for a little longer ;D -xxx-jes me
