here i would also like to add, that are any one of us in any kind of ap osition to judge their relationship? here i would like to say something which has been already said, there is no need to attribute his sadness (this is if he WAS sad) to dasha or their reationship. it could be any other reason. it could be just the prospect of getting snaps clicked again after the long journey and all the photo sessions and everything before landing. imagine if u had been in a tournament for 2 weeks, playing matches and then even after that not getting much rest and then after an almost 30 hr long flight....all you would want to do is hit the sack and rest. so that could be the reason why he looked so sad. also when looking at the pic, i didnt get the idea that he was sad. its only after reading the messages that i thought that maybe he could be sad, so lets leave him and dasha alone for some time and be content with thee fact that they are back together and maybe very much in love ;D

Ok, things are getting a bit out-of-control here, so I'm going to lock the thread if this continues. Nobody knows what Marat & Dasha's relationship is really like. Fans will always have conflicting views, but at the end of the day, that's all they are - just opinions. It's all down to how you view what the media report. A few people claim to have inside info - good for them Feel free to post your opinion here (with respect and courtesy to Marat & Dasha and other members) and allow others to post messages that don't agree with yours. Free speech and open, honest opinion is welcome. Personal attacks on Marat, Dasha & fellow members are not. If you like Dasha, you can post. If you don't like Dasha you can post. There's no 'right' opinion, but don't feel you have to persuade others to agree with you. That's just not going to happen on either side. Say what you want to say, keep the respect flowing, and I won't have to lock this thread ;D apologies ruth but i think you can probably understand why i got frustrated...

If yes, you're terribly wrong. Being a professional sportsman, doesn't mean that you can't wear a natural expression on your face. Or if you want a stronger word: it doesn't mean that he has to be a hypocrite (i think that it's the thing that you're suggesting). A real sports career doesn't need to be any similar to an acting career, and the last thing I want Marat to do is to behave like an always-smiling showbiz star. Plus, if he doesn't do that on-court, surely he doesn't have to do it on his personal time!

wokeej..now i'm gonna do my best to stay out of these threads again I'm soooo on the contrary ;D ;D. But you already know about it ;D Anyway, I wanted to say something, but Vass already said what I wanted to tell you, so I won't repeat his words. I'll just add that Marat is not a ficking star and like he once said himself: 'If you want to see a clown, go to a circus'.

Personally, if Marat looked sad it was probably just because he was tired. It was reported on his website that all he wanted to do when he got off the plane was go home and sleep, and you cant blame him for that. Maybe when he's been left in peace for a while he could have a tickertape parade in his honour, should he wish to do this. But I get the opinion he doesnt really like the star treatment. And if he and Dasha went their separate ways, so what? It means absolutely nothing. I hear she lives in LA anyway. Maybe they didnt want to be chased by the paparazzis and agreed it would be best to separate because of this. I get the opinion he enjoys the fans and adulation during a tourny, but afterware he just wants to get back to normal for a while, and who can blame him for that? You shouldnt always have to act like the big "star". Tennis players and most celebs want to live a normal life at times, without always being in the limelight. They have a right to their privacy. I hope the Russians give Marat some sort of reception, something that he would like without going overboard. He should be recognised somehow in his own country for his great achievement but it should be on his terms. As for Dasha, well its really none of our business is it? Personally, she's not my cup of tea but she obviously makes Marat happy so we should leave it at that. At least he's being level headed now, and is more grounded which is helping him to win slams. Better for his tennis than his wild days.
