more on dasha, for those who didn't watch the match. they've got HUGE LCD screens on either end of the court and during one of the change of ends, the cameramen were trying to pick out good looking females to display...and they ended with dasha.
probably to tell the world that she was there and to keep off marat. ;D

i second me (me me, not melusine me ;D)... curiosity does not a fake fan make... only someone who pretends to be a fan but in reality dislikes and wishes him ill, and the fair weathered fan, are fake fans... i don't like the term fan...i vote for intrigued admirer as for being pathetic, pusshhaa, i bow down to the awesomeness of your site, ruth--you and your site are class-acts...so chin up, head high, and shoulders squared now  what's pathetic are the sites run by squeling girls, who act as if they just love dasha in order to have an "in," just in case an opportunity arises to "sneak in" the side door as it were (chat her up during a game, flatter her on their sites, make catty comments about those "other" fans, win her confidences etc), knowing full well they'd "steal" marat our from under her if he even so much as hinted he might consider them... you needn't answer this, but if dasha is only just now learning about tennis, then why was she hanging around tennis tournaments so often last year, hhmmm?  she strikes me as a very smart girl, i wish i was so smart...  oops, my tail is showing! ;D |

Cos a sexy Russian guy called Marat invited her? ;)Does any girl need any other excuse?? ;D According to some people, they met on the Russian-socialite-party scene.... once again, dunno if that's true, just passing on what I've heard Is she a smart girl? Well she's dating Marat Safin.... she must be doing something right! I guess when you've got money to burn and no job to tie you down, it's easy to turn up all your boyfriends tournaments.... and that's not a criticism cos lets face it, we'd all do the same if we could! BTW >> during the doubles match at Monaco, Dasha left after about 5 mins.....  Kara on tgfr tag-board was there and saw Dasha with her friend leaving... Here's what Kara said: (sorry, tagboard has no archive, so trying to preserve quotes & reports etc) About Dasha, I saw her a lot of times yesterday. she went to the double match, but she left it very soon (about 5min after the beginning)....I had to leave before the end of the match, and I passed her. she was with a friend i suppose, but she wasn't watching the match....she doesn't seem very tall. if i see her again, i will try to judge better |

she isn't tall (taller than me, but so are most saint bernards! ;D)...i'd say 5feet 2inches, if that (sorry to all the metric users out there, we americans are metrically challenged  ) ;D (my lips are sealed, just a little bit scared of her, she strikes me as a hair puller--mmeeeoooww!) |

She's that short? I saw a pic of them together and she didn't look that short to me.
