Woot woot. Back to my boy's best surface. ;D It may have been raining in London today, but the sun was shining in Scotland today ... and it was baltic. I was blue by 1pm despite two layers of thermals. ;D Have almost finished planting all my veg into the garden before I head to Livvie next week. Fraught times for me ... too much veg, and not enough hours. Ok Big Yin, hope you are relaxed and up for your big, big month ahead. Get in to the garden and start looking after the plants ... it'll give you something to focus on, and it'll clear your head. Don't water them though ... it's raining ... In the next fortnight, I will expect you to be practising your volley (punch it more), your forehand (step in, remember) ... the drop shot (away!!! from your opponent, in front of you!) and putting topspin on the ball. Can we also practice bending the knees more at the net to get under the ball? Yer a big guy. ;D If it's raining in London , but still warm, the courts will be pretty heavy and oily, so the ball won't get the height or speed - no mumping. Just whack it flat then, watch your footing ... and keep practising your net approaches! I may be tied up with swine flu next week and not get to see much tennis. I will expect focus ... and magic. Nothing else. Otherwise, yer arse gets skelped. Don't noise up yer FG on grass. FG PS The fairy dust for Wimbles is on the stove. Brewing enough for a month's supply.

Saw Marat again having a hit on the grass between 2-3 with a player (not sure who it was). Wearing his light blue adidas t-shirt - he is cleanly shaven! He was on the court next to Muzza and James Blake and Marat acknowledged both of them making Murray laugh in particular - no reason why. Ive gathered that Marat is not playing doubles and plays 1st round on Wednesday! I believe

Off the thread I know, but I had to share this. Tonight on SKY4men2 (think that's what it is called ...) at 10pm they are showing 'a madcap comedy with Bjorn Borg and Bobby Riggs ...' Do you think Bjorn drops his shorts? LMAO.
Who needs drugs when you have SKY?
I've got it on the planner ... ;D

As far as i am aware Sunday is completely sold out and as for any people returning tickets i imagine there is a waiting list so would'nt count on it! Are u coming again to the grounds this week?

Safin v Malisse is last singles match on Centre Court - so should start at around 4 or 5 UK time!

Okay my Big Pixie, this is the point in the year when we get serious ... ;D Previous matches have been practice sessions for the next 3 weeks ... You've played Xavier before, so we won't be going in there tomorrow underestimating him. I expect brilliance from you - complete focus and some good solid groundstrokes as before. No mumping and no faffing is our mantra, and you WILL wear the T-shirt. Try working on the topspin. The court will probably be pretty heavy though, so don't do it too much. You may need to whack the ball flat ... and you can do that with your eyes shut. (That was NOT a direct challenge, I may say ... ) The ball will be low, you'll need to bend those knees a bit more than you would like. Take him out wide and go for his backhand early doors, and be aggressive at the outset ... but keep the ball well in the lines, don't go too close. And remember, the drop-shot in front of you, not cross-court. Clubs, blondes/brunettes/redheads, booze, fags (slang for ciggies) ... (in no particular order) are banned until mid-July. Yes, banned. You will spend your waking hours living and breathing tennis ... and watering the plants again for relaxation. Putting yer legs behind yer ears might be quite a nice yoga move to keep you supple ... and keep you out of trouble. ;D This IS tough love time, sunshine. Now get on with it. I don't expect to come home after a long, long day at work to see you faffing and throwing racquets. (May I say though, I have been SO impressed at the relative lack of racquet-throwing in the last few months. Astounding. ) FG PS The wings need to be in place by July, or you're not the only one that'll be grounded.

There must be a waiting lst, you're right: Sunday and Monday would have been the only days I could have attended , so no Queens for me this year thank anyway

PS The wings need to be in place by July, or you're not the only one that'll be grounded. Love your coaching tips Mary. Were the wings you gave him too heavy this time around - hence the bad back?? Seriously hope he's OK for Wimbledon. Great pics at AEGON though of practice sessions - he looks so happy. I think he really loves the playing - just maybe not the pressure.
