PS The wings need to be in place by July, or you're not the only one that'll be grounded. Love your coaching tips Mary. Were the wings you gave him too heavy this time around - hence the bad back?? Seriously hope he's OK for Wimbledon. Great pics at AEGON though of practice sessions - he looks so happy. I think he really loves the playing - just maybe not the pressure. The feathers were possibly industrial strength. I will lighten them for Wimbles to allow him to flutter gracefully around the net. I'll be in Livvie next week, so I'll be warming myself up (hopefully) for the main event the following week. FG PS He looks naked without his phone. Has it finally been amputated? Perhaps the reason for the withdrawal. Still a wee bit sore. ;D

I was at Queens for the first three days, saw Marat practising with Marin Cilic on Monday afternoon, must have been stood by the fence with Safinno1 ,shame we did not get the chance to say Hello.Marat seemed happy,no sign of any back trouble, reckon he must have taken Marybs advice and watered the the plants, probably put his back out lifting the full watering can. Sincerely hope he recovers for Wimbledon and does well again this year Go for it Marat and show what you are really made of!!!!!!!!!!!!

The watering can theory is good, but I'm standing by the phone amputation. A week doing who knows what and where ... AS LONG AS IT'S PRACTISING ON GRASS, will heal the poor little amputee.

Woot woot. Young Andy did it, and in straight sets. A SCOT won Queens! Woot woot. ;D Now we will have an endless diatribe about his chances for winning the Wimbles title. Hope part of his training is to avoid all British newspapers and TV over Wimbles fortnight. ;D Ok Big Yin, have you won the egg and spoon race back in Russia and are ready to fit in some (!) grass-court practise? I'm getting twitchy. I'll be in Livvie next week and will probably have more grass-court practise than you at this rate. FG
