Ah, a ridiculous, lengthy rally, which ended with a shot that Marat TOTALLY missed when it bounced weird off the baseline (embarrassing right?) -- but only a few seconds later we hear the ump say: "The ball is broken. Replay the point." Isner is bent over in disbelief. Definitely one of the weirdest things ever. ;D They replayed the point, but that did not work in Marat's favour anyway, as he lost the reply as well...but yes, that point was indeed very long, I was getting tired watching it only Birthday Boy Ljubicic seemed to hold on fairly well against Murray (where did Ivan come back from all of a sudden? ) -- He emerged 'triumphant' from Davy's quarter, who withdrew...hence no top 10 player in that quarter, I think.

Woot, what a win for Andy. 6-1 in the third. I'm still praying that Maestro gets those 2 Slams though ...

I cnt believe ive been away all week and missed some good tennis - yet Marats loss was dissapointing but glad to see and hear he been practising well.
Oh well one more match left - Muzza v Rafa -The Top 2 Players in 2009! Let battle commence!
Fish and Roddick won the doubles which is great for America!

Rafa Rafa Rafa - victor again - he never fails to amaze us - i found it quite amazing how he played considering the conditions - i think Murray couldnt be bothered to play the wind and Rafa and was happy enough with the week he has had after his illness.
Roll on Miami!

Great photos - something to keep all his fans happy until Florida.
And I agree about Rafa/Murray. The contrast was immense. Rafa was just focussed and looked like he wanted to be there. Muzza acted like a spoilt child when it didn't all go his way. Pity after he'd done so well against Roger, but... I think he still has some growing up to do.
And I know some bright spark is going to mention that Marat has his fair share of moods, tantrums and language. But he has such charm and charisma which is not the case in everyone.
