I went for 4 days of Kooyong over AO [so far on have tickets for 2 days @ AO] as I thought I would see more of Marat @ Kooyong. Not so. All we can hope for is that he is fit and healthy for AO

Just a bit more infomation on what Marat will be doing during the days before Roland Garros He is taking part in an exhibition in Paris called the Guinot Mary Cohr Masters, scheduled for May 20-22 at the Paris Golf & Country Interestingly it is a team competition and they will be using the same clay and balls as Roland Garros. So it is good preparation but back to the team competiton It will involve 12 players, with two teams of 6 competing against each other led by an Internationally renowned captain. The players will meet as teammates and opponents in a unique new event. The 12 players will be divided up into two teams of six, Guinot vs. Mary Cohr, coached by internationally renowned captains. Two best-of-three set matches a day from 1:30 p.m. onwards will commence. Each player will play once only during the three-day tournament and the two captains will challenge one another on the Friday just before the presentation of the trophy. Because the stands are nearer the courts than anywhere else, the spectators will get a close-up of the stars in competition. Players signed up so far are: Roger Federer Rafa Nadal Andy Murray Gael Monfils Marat Safin Stan Wawrinka Arnaud Clement Julian Benneteau James Blake Tommy Haas Marcos Baghdatis Paul Henri Mathieu Kei NishiKori Sounds like a little fun!
