FYI - Safin plays his next singles match tomorrow at 5pm local time against Andrey Golubev (KAZ)... Murray will play after him, starting no earlier than 7pm local time against Gulbis.

what a bloody nightmare a totally different Marat turned up for that match and he seemed to beat himself in his own head! Golubev played well and ran everything down and made good returns, and it just seemed like Marat was psyched out of it. He was making loads of unforced errors and his first serve percentage was rubbish . He started getting really frustrated at the end of the first set/start of the second and it was obvious what the outcome was going to be i expect another phone will have bit the dust by now...

What the ... I'm putting a blanket over his cage. Metaphorically speaking. No treats until he behaves. You better be focused for Paris Big Yin. We need more points.
How did Andy get on?

Shame
this could possibly have been his 2nd to last fall season on tour, i would have thought that would be enough motivation.

Sorry Natasha but thats a gloomy thought, not a motivating one If he could get there by thoughts alone I'm sure he would have. If only it were that easy...

Braincramping probably is harder for him to swallow, especially he just advanced to 2nd round with full confidence and now this.......
