So sorry for Marat ! I think that he will search a new coach in the next few weeks !!! I absolutely don't think he would! He's very satisfied with his collaboration with Gumy and he says it several times! I believe the guy appreciates the work he does with him because he somehow understands him and Marat likes that! Anyways doesn't matter who's the coach the only thing that matters is Marat and his confidence and his mental! He had a lot of great results with a lot of coaches! It's all about him! Sorry but i don't agree with you ! They are working together for mor than two years now ! The only good result from their collaboration is this years Wimbledon !! All the other tournaments they work together: bad results !!! I think Marat is smart enough for a realistic evaluation !!! Don't give up Marat !!!

Do me a favor and leave the coaching question to Marat and his team! I'm sure they know better than everyone here what's good for him.
Speculations like this are unnecessary and uncalled for - and fairly tiring. Thanks guys (and girls)!

Ahhh Bullshit - i was up until 4AM watching Marat - hence why im replying so late in the day. First 2 sets were good standard not his best but wouldve got him through this match - had chances to win in 3 sets but once 2nd set got away i sort of feared the worst - 4th set i flicked over to Ashe - that was embarrasing his demise but were used to him fading away
Big Yin go back to moscow - prepare yourself for DC duty - god that will be some air miles for him - NYC to Moscow then back to Buenos Airies
P.S british hopes are wavering - Murray 2 sets down!
Heres hoping he can he can have a good end to the year as he generally does or he could go climbing stuff again

I think if Marat wants better results, he should consider another coach, but then i think hes happy where he is, sure the losses hurt but hes comfortable with gumy and therefore doesnt want to change it.
from a tennis point of view, i would like a new coach and personally dont like gumy as a person around marat.

Big Yin go back to moscow - prepare yourself for DC duty - god that will be some air miles for him - NYC to Moscow then back to Buenos Airies Re the traveling thing, it's not only NY to Moscow to Buenos Aires that is a bit of travelling for him, but he's supposed to go from buenos aires to bangkok also, and the tournament in Bangkok starts the monday after the DC weekend... And there's another going back and forth coming later Moscow - Madrid - St. Petersburg - Paris...his team are either not very good at planning, or don't know their geography

as for andy, it is now 2 sets all - at least some people still fight for it no matter what! Andy in 5! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D He rocks! Fighting spirit to the end! I'm proud of "my" boy! Phew, what a match. Some lovely play from both of them. Well deserved win for the wee streetfighter. I really wish he'd keep those biceps under wraps though. I still think he looks like a scrawny, pasty-faced Scot. ;D I'd love a pic of Andy and Rafa side by side showing off their biceps ... compare and contrast ... To celebrate, I'm doing my Scotski-Ruski thang tomorrow night at Cafe Cossachok where Koshka are playing. Good food, beers (several) and Ruski gypsy music ... and Oleg Ponomarev. Woof. My second favourite big Ruski. Check him out here ... he's on the left (first link) Looks rather fine when he wears his leather trousers ... takes my mind off the violin a bit mind you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvW3jDGkj4I www.youtube.com/watch?v=6R44VSRGYIg&feature=related Signed A happy Scot PS Ok Davis, we can share him. Andy that is ... Another PS David Nalbandian has a bigger beer belly than me! He's getting hammered by Monfils. No hope of a 5 setter fightback in that one ...

SATURDAY RESULTS: whew ... Dinara comes back to win 36 75 62 Nadal d Troicki 64 63 60 Querrey d Karlovic 76 76 62 -- yeeeah Sam Fish d Blake 63 63 76 -- kinda weird, bummer of a match, but gotta give a YaY to the soon-to-be-married Mardy Monfils d Nalbandian 63 64 62 wowza -- 5-set mania today for this quarter of the draw: Nishikori d Ferrer 64 64 36 26 75 -- Nice play at the end, Kei! Del Potro d Simon 64 67 61 36 63 -- JMDP continues his win streak Wawrinka d Cipolla 57 67 64 60 64 Murray d Melzer 67 46 76 61 63 -- bravo to Andy & Stan for their comebacks today ... this half of the draw should be known as the "Young Guns Half" -- 7 of the 8 are between 18-23 (plus "oldie" Mardy @ 26 ) -> commentators totally heard me figuring out they're all youngins', and mentioned it half an hour later, stealers

Tommy beat Tsonga easily. That somehow makes me feel better about Marat's loss. Congrats to Iggy, Gonzo and A-Rod.
