The Maestro ain't playing in the Davis Cup as it's a 'distraction'? Rog, you just fell down in my estimation there pet. I can never grasp why some players can't see that it should be an honour to play for their country. Jeez, McEnroe used to have a real go at Jimmy Connors on this one. McEnroe turned out for Davis Cup no matter what ... and he didn't do too badly in the rankings back then ... Tournaments such as this are where players should also give a little payback - I'm sure Rog got a lot of support from the Swiss Tennis Federation when he was younger. These events also give kids a chance to see some of their heroes in action on home soil against the best in the world. Damn it Maestro, you lost brownie points with me there.

OKay since the off season is going so slow. I am already thinking of next season.
I've just heard that Andreev and Tursunov will be playing in Vina Del Mar the week before the DC tie. This brings me on to team selection - who would you pick as your 4 players for the tie??? I have also heard rumours that Kolya will skip next year's Davis Cup to concentrate on his singles - but since he is our best clay courter???
My team would be Kolya-Marat-Igor -Misha (injury Permitting)
What do you guys think - it should be an interesting clash!
