well dear lau i dint mean that peter isnt a good coach but lately peter and marat have lost concentration and i didnt see marat doing any good well havent seen marat playing for sometime but these two matches i saw better performance and better fighting for points and i totally know that whats going on with marat is because he is getting a bit apathetic ... but lets be optimistic and wish for the best that was my humble opinion ..dunno it might be right or wrong but new tournaments are in the way and we will just see..

Marat parted with Lundgren last August and has been working with Volkov since then, so I wouldn't call him a new coach.

Well....Marat has known Sasha for several years and they have had previous stints where Sasha has been his coach - these days, though - well, can you IMAGINE trying to "teach" Marat ANYTHING? I think he is a coach nominally, but his role is more of friend and supporter .He has to try and keep Marat's head on the right way round!!!!!!! Marat already knows HOW to play tennis and HOW to play shots - he just has to execute that knowledge in matches - which is why his mental preperation is probably MORE important than any technical coaching at this point in Marat's career! ( not that Sasha doesn't contrbute in that area as well, I imagine.)
So, good Luck Sasha, I say - we know you go through hell like we do every match he plays!!
