OMG OMG OMG!!! *I know im late, but yeh i had school today and the match finished last night at about 11 so didn't have time to get on" :  Aiight... NOW i can't believe he won!!! i agree with what u guys were saying about how u didn't feel the same when he won the Final but beating Roger WAS SOOOOO AMAZING!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D SOOOO CONGRATULATIONS MARAT!!!! MY HABIB!!!  But you know with the match and all.... i couldn't believe that Hewitt abused the linesperson sooo verbally although when u watch the re-play IT WAS AN EXCELLENT CALL!!!!! pppfffttt arrogant bum!  anyways... secondly, did u guys notice that dasha was in the box aswell ... its sorta weird that she like didn't turn up for heaps of his tournaments during last year but has been present at the Aussie Open two yrs running... wonder whats doin there ;D thirdly, when marat was speaking/arguing (whateva u prefer  ) to the umpire Carlos Ramos in SPANISH!!!! awwwww he is sooooo cute with his accent and movement of his hands.... also, i wasn't ALL that excited when Marat won the second set because of the way he was acting during the break.... he had his head shoved in his towel for the entire break and EVEN when he won the match it was more like a fist pump rather than a *fall on knees and bury face in hands* (im kinda cliched ha? ) but yeh... i think it was sorta a post-climax type of win cause of his beating ROGER!!!!... woooooo hooo!!! *and they thought he was invincible  * OHH... one more thing... i thought it is sooo cute that he is wearing the tiri mask around his neck that a FAN gave him... AWWW... does that mean he would wear something we all gave him he might begin to feel the weight ;D except i also thought about whether it was like *US* fans he meets once off or twice off in some instanced... or an actual like FAN FAN... u know someone he knows who is a fan of his.. sorta get what i mean?  Anywhos... it looks like Marat is our Aussie Open Champ, he is beginning to become more religious, *judging from the stop-drinking and wearing Koran symbols around his neck* (our little Marat is growing up ;D ), he is still with Dasha and now has what looks like to be a permanent coach..... LIFE"S GOOD PEOPLE!!!!! Love alwayz Chiro |

Woohoo guys!!!!!!! There was a short itw w Rausa in a Russian sports newspaper. My summary: She said she saw all his matches on TV except for the 1st one vs Djokovic and she had to leave for Paris after the 1st set of the final and she learned the result already in Paris. She was in Nice when the final started. (Umm, training w Dinara?, or just transferring from someplace?) But she was convinced Marat would win. After the match vs Fed she couldn't speak. She praised Lundgren and said her son enjoyed working with Peter. ;D About why she wasn't in Melbourne this year she said she had the plane tickets but fell ill (umm, is it a right expression?) before the flight. She also said she spoke to Marat and that he was very happy, he was going back to Moscow and after that to the tourney in Dubai. ;D So Vass, Chrissiej and everyone else - Marat is not going to play anywhere before Dubai. Obviously a right decision, no wildcards anywhere. Get a good rest now Marat!!!!!!!!!!! Don't party too hard and get to Dubai well in advance!! (for Vass's and Chris's sake ) BTW Chrissiej, when's your flight? |

Hey everybody,
i know i'm late but i wanted to sayl it anyway: it was great. just to see that after such a terrible start he could still catch up and win it.
I consider the match started in the 3rd set. despite the fact that he played so horrible in the 1st set, we have to understand that he was trying to break a two lost finals streak: this requires some nerves.
Anyway i wish him the best rest and may he come back as fine as he did in melbourne.

congrats marat on your AO!!! and ruth : i was thinking abt you when i was watching it on BBC,espec when i saw a blond guy in the box( but i don't know who it was); although i was ill , had fever all night , i did manege to keep my eyes open. But for some reason i didn't enjoy the match as i did when he played rochus or fed. But, my all my friends , even my bf's mother called me to congratulate me on marat 's win!!!!! ;D ;D ;D and today a male collegue picked up the phone and said : hello this is the guy from russia!!! , he was so happy for me |
