nicki mail from my part of the world takes about 10 days to get to that part of the world. LOL So I was thinking about emailing the contact email at Marat's website, he is more than likely to be going to his site? Anyway, its a good idea and pply can write to where they feel is best. Thanks Would probably take about that long for me too, but it never hurts. It could be that he is still in a slump in 10 days I'm not to sure if emailing it to the contact email on the website would do any real good. I'm not sure that Marat has much to do with the site & i think that the "webby" is probably getting flooded with lots of emails right now so she may not get to yours for a while. It can't hurt to try of course

Ferrero, Nadal Continue to Roll; Moya, Canas Down
Spanish sensation Rafael Nadal continued his strong play with a solid 6-1, 6-2 win over Dominik Hrbaty and entered the quarterfinals of the Open SEAT Godó on Thursday. It was Nadal´s first win over the Slovak in four matches. With the win, Nadal improves to 32-6 and enters his seventh consecutive quarterfinal.
He will now play Agustin Calleri, who won a 6-4, 6-7(5), 7-6(2) thriller over No. 4 seed Guillermo Coria.
Calleri was down 5-3, 30-0 in the third set, but was able to hold serve and broke Coria in the next game to even the match. Calleri looked very consistent as he won the decisive tie-break 7-2 to enter the quarterfinals.
Juan Carlos Ferrero reached his second consecutive quarterfinal after a one-year hiatus (last in Valencia 2004) with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 victory over clay-court specialist Alberto Martin. Ferrero now leads the series against Martin 4-3 and will continue to improve his ranking after being out of the top 80 only two weeks ago.
In the longest match of the day, No. 11 seed Radek Stepanek defeated No. 5 seed Guillermo Canas 6-7(6), 7-6(2), 7-6(5) in 3 hours and 10 minutes of high quality tennis. Canas had one match point serving at 6-5 in the second set, but Stepanek never gave up and was able to even the match one set all after claiming a 7-2 win in the tie-break. Both players looked very even in the third set reaching the third consecutive tie-break, where Stepanek held better to his nerves to claim the final victory.
Max Mirnyi upset No. 4 seed Carlos Moya in a nerve-racking 6-4, 6-4 match. The Belarus-native used his effective serve and volley to keep the Spaniard off balance and continuously rushed the net on his return for a total of four breaks. Down 4-6, 3-5, Moya broke back at 3-5 to stay alive in the match, and at 4-5, looked tentative as he missed two easy backhand volleys at deuce that could have changed the outcome of the second set. Mirnyi needed five match points to close out the victory.
WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID:
Nadal: "It's great to finally beat Hrbaty because he beat me the last three times we played. It was a much closer match than the score suggests but I'm playing at a very high level and I hope that I can maintain that tomorrow against Calleri. He's beaten Chela and Coria so he is playing at a very high level too and it's going to be difficult."
Calleri: "I really believed in myself today and knew that I had the game to beat him. I tried to impose my game and dictate the play which he doesn't like. But it was very difficult against him because he moves so well. "I'm a bit tired after yesterday's long match as well, but I hope to be able to play my best tennis again tomorrow against Nadal."
Ferrero: "The more matches I'm getting, the better I'm playing. I managed to impose my game today and stayed as close to the baseline as possible which is how I controlled the match. It's great to get into the quarterfinals again and I'm feeling really good about my game."
Coria: "It's always been hard to play here for me after Monte-Carlo. I had the game in my hands but he's a strong player and came back strong. Last week was a very positive week for me and after playing so many matches, my body is feeling it a little bit. But there were just a few points between winning and losing today, and he took his chances so he deserves it. He's had some tough matches but he's a very dangerous player and I hope that he continues like this."
Stepanek: "I was up 4-2 in the first and 5-3 in the second so there were a lot of ups and downs throughout the match, for both of us. I think it was a high quality clay court match, with two different styles of play. I'm very happy to hav survived those two match points and to get through to the quarterfinals."
Moya: "He's a complicated player, he doesn't give you much rhythm out there and he's playing with a lot of confidence. I don't think I played my best tennis by any means but I did as best I can. I fought to get back into the match but it wasn't good enough for the day."

I am not even going to comment on what is pasted below. Peter Bodo needs a life...honestly..how can a person be so rude and unethical. Marat has feelings, you know..and so do other players...uffffffffffffffff He Said What??? Marat Safin, after losing in the first round in Barcelona on Wednesday and staying on track to never make it past the second round in his career after winning the 2005 Australian Open: “I wasn’t angry with the crowd, they were angry with me. But if they don’t like what I do then I won’t come, the tournament can save some money and I can save some time and everyone will be happy.”<br> Note to Marat: The crowd was angry with you because they’re the ones who paid all those euros for the privilege of watching you play and put forth less than an outstanding effort. Why should you be angry? All you did was scarf up all those undeserved euros in prize or (worse yet) appearance money, leaving just one winner—you, you moron. Those fans could have spent their money in much more intelligent ways—like on expired lottery tickets, 8-track tape decks, or rotary-dial telephones. Taken from tennis.com. Why on earth did I go in there?

Marat has feelings, you know..and so do other players...uffffffffffffffff Annie, I agree with you Peter Bodo for whatever reason does not like Marat, I think there is a history there, I could be wrong, but I think there is. Bodo is an absolute jerk, and can only get attention when Marat does not do well, then he can write all kinds of nasty things about Marat, when Marat does well he can't write cause he cant bear to say something good about Marat. Its Peter Bodo thats the Moron. Unfortunately there are so called fans 'jumbie fans' as I call them, out there that are agreeing with Bodo, but these same fans will do a 360 when Marat does well and wins and will then be saying 'Marat, Marat, remember me? I am your biggest fan, always, no matter what' But Marat knows this, it comes with the territory, he expects it, but nevertheless it still hurts, but like he has said before, these attacks on his person, his game, his ability, his career only make him stronger
