Oh poor Marat, I can only imagine how he is feeling right now. I hope that there are enough people around him to calm him down and try to help him. . Well I still love him, I am sorry, WE all still love him. Yes ARMgirl55 we do still love him, always , and always wish Marat the best. I feel much better now, wish though I could just post a few good lines like you do But I have gotten it out of my system now, and as I said I feel better. So long people, enjoy your weekends Hugs and kisses to everyone

Oh poor Marat I just got online on my sister's laptop (snapped my internet cable and still waiting for a replacement to arrive : and heard the bad bad news..... I honestly thought he'd do a bit better than that - get a bit further in Barcelona.... I've yet to back-track through this thread and read people's comments and impressions (so forgive me if I'm repeating stuff) but with the crowd whistling and jeering at him, no wonder he wasn't on top form... (or was that only after the match had been lost?) It's an awful way to treat any player, regardless of the outcome. I mean, for crying outloud, it's just a game! You don't have to kick a man when he's already down! I must admit, I expected a better result and am more than disappointed for him... Do you think his threat to not return to Barcelona next year is an idle one? Like his promise a few years ago that he would never play kremlin Cup again because of the way the crowd had booed him all through the match.

What's happening to him? I know he lost confidence, but how did he lose confidence in the first place? He won the AO, and then he's been losing every freaking match. I keep telling myself he'll be back by RO, but I'm not so sure anymore. I'm afraid he'll crash out again.

As usual, Marat is creating a little controversy (I must admit ´that I agree with him in this one). As you can imagine, Nadal is in every spanish newspaper...... Spanish public is virtually in love with him.... This is what Marat said in the press conference and is in every spanish newspaper (apart from his suggestion of not going again to Barcelona due to the public reaction during today´s match): He was asked about Nadal and he said "He`s a good player, so what...?" (national offense in Spain these days ;D ;D ;D)Then he explained that it´s not fair that Nadal has all the attention... "Now everybody talks about this player, but later evething is forgotten as it happened with Moyá or Ferrero" then he said "With all my respect, Nadal plays well and he´ll be big, but as the years pass by(I don´t know if this is a good translation) people forget, as it happened with Moyá. After 1997 it was a bomb of television and publicity and now people forgot. It´s a managers´ problem"Then, he added: "A person doesn´t change. I can improve to be calmer(sorry, sorry, sorry for this translation.... It´s difficult finding the words ;D ;D )and more quiet, but when things are going wrong, frustration comes to you because you cannot do it well and that kills to you. You break a racket, but that is not bad, because you want to return where you were."Well, as you can see, Marat is still 100% Safin ;D ;D Finally, one photo of Marat playing today

that is just it, you need to quit expecting him to win. Life is so much easier when stop expecting Marat to win & just enjoy it when he does win.
You know what i did when i found out Marat lost? I rolled my eyes and then went back to what i was doing. no fits, no swearing, no wondering why i cheer for the guy. I dealt with it.

Lau... Thanks for the video and the info I feel so bad right now, he's getting worse every tounament, but I don't have lack of confidence in him, cus that's the way he is, he loses and loses and then he'll be fine and win tounaments, we just have to wait. But I'm really mad at the crowd, they should be sopportive and if they're not gonna say anything constructive them should shut their mouths Thanks everybody for pictures and articles

Ruth I am sure he will return Anyone would feel the way he did if they were subject to what Marat was by the Barcelona crowd, its really unfortunate, Marat really did not deserve that kind of behaviour from the crowd. Hope you get your internet cable replacement soon.

Yeah they are sad pics lau thanks for posting them for us even if they are so sad, my heart breaks for him seeing him so frustrated and upset. and thanks for the translation I agree with him, I hate the way the media and people in general hype up a player, then disses them, and then forgets about them as if they never did anything good, like they way they have done with Moya and JCF
