Hey guys, just found out the complete interview given by marat right after the match (some pieces were missing on the pacific life open website): www.asapsports.com/tennis/2005paclife/031505M2.htmlI was pissed off first too, then disappointed and very sorry for him. And I decided to do exactly as he said: try to forget this match as quickly as possible... If he's working as hard as he's saying in the interview, then things will get better. The only thing is that now half the fun of the tournament is over. :-)  Anyway, let's get ready for Miami now! Okay he lost never got a good rhythm going suffered a terrible start, showed that his backhand is not to be messed with but as people say that is marat and that is why we love him,(not at the moment as i am filled with rage  ) give me a couple of days nonetheless good luck in Miami Marat. I watch the livescore and saw the last point, double fault from Marat. So sad but I know Marat felt worse. Anyway, thank you for all articles and pics.

There was some sadness there, but I agree he sounds like Marat Safin, and lets be honest he really really never plays well during this time of the year, and
I agree with him, its not like its something new for him. I think he is been to hard on himself when he says he hopes to make his down hill as short as he can, there is no down hill here habibi.
As to trying something else, something new in order to be able to play well in Miami, well thats positive, i hope he can find something new, but as there are no more lead ups to Miami, he will have to find some thing new over the next couple of days, and then next year he can try something else.

Taylor Dent retired in the 1st set against Canas yesterday with a stomach virus. That's the quickest virus I've ever seen. Way to go Taylor you..............Can't post it but I feel better now. |
