i watched the match too and while his game was off (mostly his serve--his serve was really off--if sampras had a serving day like that he might have been bageled, so there's something to smile about right there--marat at least has a strong return game to fall back on--even if that was off too, if not so much as his serve)

I can always count on you to put things in to perspective, for me at least, and actually Ruth can do that for me too..........need you to come by more often so you can do that, okay

i actually was pretty impressed with how he kept trying and fighting off break points--plus dent was playing better than i've ever seen him play. gotta give dent his due... ;D

actually i was too, and also how he kept his temper under control, he was really trying, as for Dent I cannot be so generous........ sure he played well, but Marat was having an 'off day' an 'off day' baby, othewise Dent would have been history, we know that This is a first and last for Taylor bloody Dent!

so i'll tie everything back to indian wells--the reason marat lost in indian wells is because indian wells is a made up place--i mean it was created artificially--not like a real city and it's in the middle of friggin nowhere but stupid rich people who've lipposucted their brains out of thier heads go there because it's "the thing to do."

all that bad karma intefered with marat's sertonin reuptake inhibitiors causing a violent but temporary bout of depression--thus he was bested in a surprising upset by a droid, who of course is immune to karmic fluctuations in the stratosphere. (taylor dent of course doesn't really exist, he was created by george bush as a weapon of mass destruction--so no one needs to be upset marat lost--it was beyond his control--blame george bush...

...and the balls)

I was lucky enough to be able to see the match at least. How agressive was Taylor Dent!! I am sad that Marat lost, but of course the crowd erupted when Marat got mad. I think he's very cute when he's angry. I noticed his sister was there too. But like you all said the match was unremarkable. I do think however that Marat's tremendous strength shone through. He looks like he's getting more and more muscular. Maybe next time, boo hoo!! I wish I had the Tennis Channel!!

I finally got to see a match (I hadn't since AO's final) and it really sucked, he played really bad. He wasn't focused and the fact that Dent had sucha strong serve didn't help at all, he was really frustrated, plus all the public was with Dent and no-one say nothing to cheer up Marat I guess I have to wait even longer to see him play but it's ok, I guess
