I saw the match today and it was okay until the 2nd set-dunno what happend then,....uuuaaagghh I couldn´t believe what I saw!Marat lost completely motivation and....really really bad loss

omg! omg! omg! OMFG! what happened?!!! i just came home, i was so sure he would win this one... i mean, i know it's just an exhibition tournament but come on! And it's Sanguinetti, it's not Coria or Haas here! 70 UEs? wtf? and a 0-6?  no, no, no... i can't believe it... Ppl this time i'm shocked  no pics on gotennis.com yet...u can have maria sharapova instead? same on getty  (hmmm, perhaps it's better not to have pics of that disaster) |

What was the last time anyone bageled out Marat? i think it was Ginepri at Indian Wells in that awful 6/0 6/1 match when Marat & half the other guys in the draw were sick. I don't think there has been another one since then but there might have been one at the end of 2003 |

i kinda have a feeling he would put a performance like this , but once again i think myskina was dissapointed not to progress without naming anyone i bet you she felt like killing him.

I have got a chance to talk to Peter and he didn't seem worried about Marat. I think maybe Peter knows that it's the way Marat is and he will be fine. I think Marat gets along very well with Peter. Peter told us that Marat really is a great guy. And then everybody asked him "Peter, what Walt is doing with u guys anyway?" and Peter was like "I dunno either. He just talks so much!" But what really surprised me is that one guy working in the tournament told me that Marat said he quit drinking now ... how is that possible I dunno... |

I didn't see the match vs Davide, vs Coria he kinda had some some discomfort from bad movement bc of the jetlag, tiredness. It's more like a precaution, he has twisted the right ankle before so now he takes precaution and thinking of all the injuries that have occurred already he's right being careful in the first matches of the season. And what happened to him in Australia 2003 was horrible enough (and a lesson enough). So 1 positive thing I can think of after Perth - at least he's not injured like Haas, Mark P. etc. I remind myself of that every now & then. Tell me that I didn't curse it now! |
