OK, OK, Jiat, I've calmed down already! ;D Just that AO was so beautiful and FO was so ugly performance-wise to my mind! It's definitely my subjective opinion, you all have right to your opinions! ;D

Well guys Roddick is out too!
I have a question: Why is everyone around here so negative towards Federer?

MUUHHHHAAAAA ;D ;D ;D ;D Andy is OUT ........and beaten no less than by Gonzo a clay courter.... hehehehe......Andy playing on his favourite surface can't beat Gonzo heheh I know I am been childish but I DONT CARE And to be honest I did not see the match so don't really know how well he played or not......andy that is, but then I don't care ;D And then I don't suppose we would see a press headline......all top seeds tank olympics to get to NY Nooooooooooo its only habibi they want to crucify. Then again maybe Andy finally got the message..... NY is the place to be just now not Athens........ohohoh wonder what coach Brad had to say......he prob wanted the credit just as much if Andy won gold *meow* *meow*

Have you noticed that when Roger goes out this year, Andy goes out too? Like in Cincy and now here!

I have a question: Why is everyone around here so negative towards Federer? not everybody. I think I'm the only one around who actually like this guy. Sure, it's dissapointing when he wins with Marat, but he seems to be a nice guy and I like his tennis. But I do not like Andy so yaaaaay he's out ;D!!!

It's definitely my subjective opinion, you all have right to your opinions! ;D Maria you go girl, and dont stop having your opinion, its welcome, and valid. Your opinions btw did not hurt, and sometimes someone has to point out the harsh reality of a situation or whatever, but I dont take it personally. If not it would be like talking to myself......and all I would be hearing is an echo. Diffierent opinions or takes on situations etc helps me to maintain my faith in Marat, and at the same time rationalize...........even though I can be very bias I know

But I do not like Andy so yaaaaay he's out ;D!!! Make that two, I've been a supporter for quite a long time. It's not Federer's fault that he wins against Marat, he's doing his job to the best of his ability. It's Marat's that he's not trying his best. I don't like Andy either and would have died if he got a gold!

Well guys Roddick is out too! I have a question: Why is everyone around here so negative towards Federer? i don't like Federer......because i find that he is arrogant.... My brother saw him at Roland Garros and he said me that he was realy arrogant and his tennis isn't fascinating...like Marat!Marat is more approachable!Nevertheless.....before RG my brother was not a Marat's fan!now he is.....so... But federer is a talented player and it's sure that he won a lot of his matchs........ But he has not charisma.........like marat......

Well guys Roddick is out too! I have a question: Why is everyone around here so negative towards Federer? Because he keeps winning.... ok don't get me wrong, he wins because he's the best right now, and i love his tennis, everytime i watch him play i'm like .... but when it's always the same guy who wins almost evrything it's kinda boring. And i'm tired of reading articles about the great Roger, the amazingly talented Roger, who's also such a nice guy..... damn, is he Mr Perfection? some years ago i thought he was very arrogant, now i've changed my mind, i think he's ok. but still i have had enough of those journos saying he's so great, blah blah blah.... not his fault tho, should probably blame the journos Oh, an other reason why i'm happy when he loses early in a tournament: early loss= only a few points in the rankings.... and i'm happy when guys that are already better ranked than Marat sometimes lose many points ;D Phewwww.... glad to know you're alive Ivy! ;D and Ruth>> you won't have to run naked in your old school, good for you!!! ;D

ATHENS 2004 OLYMPIC TENNIS TOURNAMENT ATHENS, GREECE
August 17, 2004
F. LOPEZ/M. Safin 7-6, 6-3
MARAT SAFIN
THE MODERATOR: Questions.
Q. Where does this leave your year, starting so well, and it's gone off in the last couple of months?
MARAT SAFIN: Why? I'm still No. 30 in the world. I started the year 89. I'm sorry. Is that so bad?
Q. No, no, it's good. But having started so well, since Wimbledon, were you not hoping to have done a bit more than you have?
MARAT SAFIN: Yeah, but you cannot expect a lot, you know. I had a couple of tough matches. I mean, against Kiefer, I lost 7-6 in the third. He was in semifinals. Make quarterfinals in Cincinnati. I lost to Hewitt. But I could have won or been in the finals also. I'm missing a little bit of winning these tough matches is the thing.
Q. Was the Olympics any motivation for you because it doesn't fit into the pattern of a normal tournament?
MARAT SAFIN: Yes, is a lot of points in the game. It's very important.
Q. You've had up and down feelings, as first you were reluctant, then happy to be here. Suddenly losing in the second round u a bit of an emotional rollercoaster?
MARAT SAFIN: No. I mean, he played -- I didn't like to play against these kind of people, and I never beat him. I played him once, and he beat me quite easy. So I knew it was a tough match. I had my opportunities in the first set, I couldn't take them. He started to play well. I had my chances. I think I didn't take them. Could be 7-6, 6-3, other way around. But if you don't take your chances, you don't deserve to win.
Q. Have you enjoyed the Olympic experience, not just playing tennis, but just being here with other athletes?
MARAT SAFIN: Yeah, it's great. It's my second time already, so I know more or less what is it. It's great. I'm enjoying it.
Q. Now preparation for the US Open.
MARAT SAFIN: Yes. Couple of days off and then I'm going to New York the week before, just get used to the courts, the balls. Then we'll see what's going to happen in New York. It's definitely much better conditions than here because, first of all, it's different kind of balls. For me it was a little bit difficult to play with these kind of balls here. I know for everybody is the same, but for me personally it was a little bit too tough. So I'm expecting a lot from the US Open, which is five-set matches that I really like. We'll see what's going on. The year is still on, there's plenty of tournaments to play. There's like two Super 9's, two Masters Series, and a Grand Slam.
No its not habibi
